[edit] Samson

Samson, known as "Samson the Wild" is a carefree lion who tells fake stories to his son Ryan about his life in the wild. Having Ryan trapped in a green shipment and shipped off to Africa, he and Benny ride out of zoo in a garbage truck although Benny falls off the truck by Bridget. Getting directions from two alligators the crew head to the lady with the spikes on her head. Larry spots the boat carrying Ryan and Samson races to the boat but fails until the crew are taking control of a small boat. Benny finds Samson and the others thanks to Canadian Geese he rode on and the geese manage to help the crew follow the boat carrying Ryan. They reach to Africa when Samson is face-to-face with a rock hyrax named Colin who he tries eat but couldn't bear to hurt or kill him which blows his cover--he's not from the wild. Having found Ryan from a tribe of wildebeasts, Samson tells Ryan when he couldn't roar as a cub at a circus and his cruel father rejected him. After that the wildebeasts find Samson and Ryan on the tree and Samson knocked out leaving poor Ryan kidnapped by the wildebeasts. Thanks to two chameleons, Cloak and Camo he manages to enter an evil wildebeast's hideout known as Kazar. Samson fights Kazar for his son's safety when he is almost killed by Kazar until Ryan is catapulted preforming a real lion cub's roar onto Kazar's head but his browsed when also Samson performs a real adult lion's roar which blows Kazar on the koala's shrine. The crew and the tribe of wildebeasts manage to escape the volcano when it blows killing Kazar.

In the second film, Samson's design was redesigned to computer-generated a hippo maintains that Samson is the only lion on Earth without a mate until he and the crew (except Ryan) finds Sally, a female lion at another wild island who believes she's an opossum (a resemblance to Ice Age: The Meltdown).

Kiefer Sutherland played Samson in both movies.

Ryan is Samson's son who believes his father is from the wild, along with Samson's nickname, "Samsom the Wild". He then roars at the audience watching but the roar is a cat's meow and the people laugh at him. Ryan then gets awfully angry with Samson and sneaks into a green box and is taken from the zoo. At the island Ryan manages to exit the box and race off to the trees, avoiding an elephant's stomping. Getting lost in the jungle he run into a baby hippo and then its mother immediately panics trying to hurt Ryan though he runs off in fear. Scraw and Scab find Ryan and sart to try and kill him until Samson makes an attack on them. After finding his father is not from the wild, he is kidnapped by Blag, Kazar's servant and a tribe of wildebeasts as Samson falls off a cliff, knocked out. When Samson is nearly killed by Kazar, Ryan catapults to the rescue with a real lion cub's roar and hits Kazar's head but gets browsed until Samson saves his poor son from the evil attacks of Kazar by roaring a great roar at him which causes an earthquake on the volcano.

Ryan is played by Greg Cipes in both movies.

Benny is a street-smart squirrel who knows his way around New York City. He is introduced when he is stealing a sweetie necklace from a baby and gets kicked by its mother into Samson's nose. He then tries to give the sweets to his true love, Bridget the giraffe though she thinks its from the trash and calling Benny a "trash-picker". When Ryan is taken from the zoo, Benny gets his hyperactive pigeon friend, Hamir to find out where the green boxes head to. Both Samson and Benny get into a garbage truck which leaves the zoo. Benny then gets knocked off the truck by Bridget. He manages to reunite the gang with Canadian geese. After Samson gets knocked off the cliff and Benny being knocked out by Blag, Kazar's assistant he is rolled by dung beetles thinking he is a ball of dung and finds Samson lying on the ground koncked out. Benny also finds two chameleons, Cloak and Camo who are covert agents or not and Cloak then gets his group to make paintjobs on Benny. At the end Bridget finally kisses Benny and said it was just "his daily doe svitamin Bridget".

Jim Belushi portryed Benny in both movies.

Bridget is a phsycial giraffe whom Benny has a crush on. She is introduced when Benny tries to give the sweetie necklace he stole from a baby at the beginning but thinks its from garbage and calling Benny a "trash-picker". At the turtle-curling game she and Larry try to get Donald the turtle in the scoring zone when Victor the captain of the penguins tries to stop them. Larry is seen most of the time around Bridget's neck or on her back. Eventually when Nigel gets left behind, a tribe of wildebeasts attack on them kidnapping Bridget and Larry and browsing Benny. Ryan then meets up with Bridget and Larry at Kazar's volcano hideout. At the end Bridget kisses Benny and saying the same thing as Benny.

Janeane Garofalo played Bridget in both films.

Larry is a dim-witted boa constrictor who is seen numerous on Bridget's back or around Bridget's neck since he has no arms or legs. He can be useful as a turtle-shooter for the turtle curling game. When the crew are chased by rabid dogs Samson uses Larry to open a drain for an escape since he is not from the wild and Samson gets Larry down gets his head stuck in a hole in the drain but manages to unstuck and getaway from the dogs. Larry manages to spot the boat carrying Ryan and seeing the volcano of the island with smoke. Both Bridget and Larry get kidnapped by Blag, Kazar's assistant and a tribe of wildebeast. When Samson fights off Kazar, Larry comes up with an idea, using the "secret play" the crew used back in the turtle-curling game which helps hold back Kazar. At the end Cloak and Camo, the two chameleons use their paintjob skills to make Larry and hula girl.

Larry was played by Richard Kind in both movies.

Nigel is a koala who hates being "cute". He gets terribly annoyed by the koala teddy bear which go "I'm so cuddly, I like you". At the turtle curling game he gets harassed by a trio of monkeys and begins to get in a tantrum. When Nigel gets left behind he is taken by a tribe of wildebeasts who think that he is their god, calling "The Great Him" because one of the toys saved Kazar from vicious lion cubs. He then keeps Ryan, Bridget and Larry from being eaten by the tribe by getting them onion, which they get so quick and then stops them again by making them get party hats, which the tribe gets confused. At the end the toy that made Kazar get tangled up by the string it shoots out of the hole of the volcano and hits Nigel and he just throws it into the sea.

Eddie Izzard voiced Nigel in both movies.

Kazar is a wicked wildebeast who he, his assistant Blag and his tribe worship the koala, Nigel calling him "The Great Him". Though Nigel tries to escape the clutches but seing that he's their his god he becomes almost wicked too. Samson then gets the two chameleons, Cloak and Camo and a group of chameleons get uiinside invisible when reached the shrine, volcanic gas rises out of the ground which terrfies the chameleons and makes Samson visible. Kazar browses Samson and Ryan a lot until his servant, Blag and his tribe give up being on his side and letting Samson roar him into the shrine. When the it has caused and earthquake, the zoo gang and the tribe escape, Kazar tries to chase after them but gets tangled by the string of the koala doll and the blowing of the volcano subsequently kills him.

William Shatner portryed Kazar.

Blag is Kazar's poor assistant who is also a wildebeast. He is always in trouble for the tiniest things he has done. He introduced when he takes Nigel to Kazar to worship him. Then he kidnaps Ryan when Samson is knocked off a cliff. Blag and the tribe sees how a good father and son Samson and Ryan so they quit having Kazar as their boss.

Blag was voiced by Patrick Warburton.

[edit] Cloak and Camo

Cloak and Camo are a pair of chameleons who are covert agents. They lead Samson around into thinking that its his lion instincts but were caught by Benny and Cloak then shows Samson their skills of paintjobs on Benny and also can do the power of invisibility which gives Samson an idea to sneak into Kazar's hideout without being caught. They do but volcanic gas rises from the ground and terrifies Cloak, Camo and the chameleons as they runaway making Samson visible again. At the end they use their skills of paintjob to make Larry the snake a hula girl.

Cloak was voiced by Bob Joles and Camo was voiced by Chris Edgerly.

Colin is a sarcastic rock hyrax who Samson meets thinking he was Ryan, tries to eat but just couldn't because he's not from the wild. After that Colin with his British voice makes fun of him and half of Nigel and hits his face into a tree.

In the second film, another hyrax is seen being killed by Golzamus, a great white shark which is not Colin.

Colin was voiced by Colin Cunningham.

[edit] Scraw and Scab

Scraw and Scab are a pair of vultures who look like turkeys. They were the first ones to find Ryan in the jungle and go off with other vultures to bring him to Kazar. Ryan then does the meow which made the vultures laugh, they start to attack him but Samson manages to find Ryan and scare off Scraw and Scab.

Scraw was voiced by Eddie Gossling and Scab was voiced by Jonathan Kimmel.

[edit] Hamir

Hamir is a crazy hyperactive pigeon and a friend of Benny's. He is introduced at the zoo's gift shop using ladybirds as dice but loses and gets even more crazy until Samson scares him and tells him and Benny to get to the lady with spikes on her head.

Hamir was voiced by David Cowgill.

[edit] Stan and Carmine

Stan and Carmine are rapper type alligators that live in the sewers of New York City. They help Samson and the gang get directions to the lady with spikes on her head but kind of argue a bit. Once they give th advice Carmine spots Nigel to be one of the koala dolls.

Stan was voiced by Joseph Siravo and Carmine was voiced by Lenny Venito.

Sally is a female lion who lost her pride and raised by a family of opossums during her childhood. In the film, Samson meets her at another island and also finds out she think she's an opossum. Benny then gets Sally and her opossum brothers, Jim and Tim who are not on good terms with Bridget, Larry and Nigel to join the zoo gang to escape a flood and an earthquake which will be coming. Samson determs to make Sally become his mate.

Natalie Cole voiced Sally.

[edit] Jim and Tim

Jim and Tim are two opossum twins who are brothers of Sally. They are introduced when they are toturing Bridget, Larry and Nigel by shooting pebbles through reeds and other toture stunts. When it makes Bridget mad she races after Jim and Tim which makes them run in terror which lures her, Larry and Nigel to Sally along with Samson and Benny.

Jim has a round nose, blue eyes and is voiced by Michael J. Fox whereas Tim has a pointy nose, hazel eyes and is voiced by Jess Harnell.

[edit] Jeffrey

Jeffrey is a baboon who appears to be an artist and a dealer of the NYC zoo along with his sidekick, Toni the phython. Samson keeps stopping Jeffrey from doing it but always gets him out of the way.

Patrick Swayze did the voice of Jeffrey.

Toni is a giant python who is Jeffrey's sidekick and also a dealer and an artist. He always uses Jeffrey's inventions wrong though Jeffrey manage to get it correct.

Toni is voiced by Jim Cummings.

[edit] Golzamus

Golzamus is a Great White Shark who lives among the deep waters of the island where Sally, Jim and Tim live. Golzamus is introduced with a Hammerhead Shark, Megastornis trying to kill Samson and Sally obviussly at a giant lake.

Golzamus was not voiced by any voice actor but making a lot of roars.

Megastornis is a Hammerhead Shark who also lives in the deep waters among Sally, Jim and Tim's island. Megastornis was introduced with Golzamus not trying to kill Samson or Sally but Bridget, Larry and Nigel.

Megastornis was also not voiced by any voice actor but also making roars and hisses.
