[edit] Season 3: 2008

On February 26, 2007, at the New York Comics Convention, Jackson Publick announced that the third season of the show had been picked up by Cartoon Network. At the same time he announced that these episodes might not air until early 2008. It was also suggested that there might be a deal on a fourth season as well.[1][2] On the official blog's October 10th post it was announced that this season would be animated in HD.[3] However, on 22 November 2007 (Thanksgiving Day) Publick announced that due to production schedules, the premiere of the third season would probably be postponed until June.[4]

Some Season 3 storyboard artwork can be seen at the blog of storyboard artist Stephan DeStefano[5] which shows episode titles and numbers, which comprise The Doctor is Sin (ep. 28), Murder O'Clock (ep. 34), Now Museum – Now You Don't (ep. 35), and The Ant Farm. A portion of a rough cut of The Doctor is Sin (ep. 28) was aired as a surprise at 12:15 am on April 1, 2008 as part of an unannounced April Fools sneak peek at upcoming shows and seasons. At the 2008 New York Comic Con, a teaser trailer of the third season was shown. The Venture Bros. Season 3 Premiere took place on Sunday June 1st.[6]
