Main article: The Trap Door

This is a list of all the episodes of The Trap Door. The claymation animated television series began in 1984 and ended in 1986, running for two series of 25 and 15 episodes.

Selected episodes were made available on VHS. All 40 episodes are now available on a single DVD released February 21, 2005.

An odd, yellow creature emerges from the depths of the Trap Door and eats the Thing Upstairs' breakfast. Then a big, angry red thing also escapes and chases Berk, only to be scared off by its own reflection. The yellow creature is then used as a makeshift meal for The Thing Upstairs' by Berk.
"Slither, Wriggle and Writhe" 1984 2
Berk is putting up shelves, after breaking his wood he tries to take some from the trap door only to be attacked by a tentacle thing.
"Food for Thort" 1984 3
The Thing Upstairs' favourite vegetable Thort has grown to a dangerous size. Whilst looking for worms Berk releases wasp things, he soon notices Thort likes to eat them.
"Lurkings" 1984 4
Berk goes fishing leaving the trap door open, he is followed by Rogg a friendly thing.
"Gourmet's Delight" 1984 5
Berk makes a gourmet dinner leaving the kitchen in a mess. An invisible thing called Bubo emerges and causes mischief.
"Creepy Crawly" 1984 6
A giant spider terrorises Berk.

Rogg takes Boni to the castle battlements to hide from Berk.
"Ghoulies" 1984 8
Berk finds a spell book and mistakenly summons some ghosts.
"The Dose" 1984 9
The Thing Upstairs has a cold so Berk makes up some medicine. A green thing emerges and drinks it.
"The Thingy" 1984 10
Berk nails the trap door shut, only for it to be immediately broken open by a mischievous powerful pink thing that begins changing everyone's shape.
"Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite" 1984 11
Berk goes to sleep but something takes Boni down the trap door, Berk goes to rescue him. Note: This is one of the only episodes which is revealed to be a dream at the end. The other episode being "Moany Boni".
"Fester Rancid" 1984 12
Bubo returns and torments Boni and Drutt, eventually running off with Boni and using him as a drum.
"The Pain" 1984 13
The Thing Upstairs has toothache so Berk goes to sort it out. Drutt wedges open the trap door so he can eat some worms inevitably releasing a hungry slug thing. This episode is centered on Drutt trying to escape from the slug thing.
"The Little Thing" 1984 14
A noisy little thing has escaped and Berk must catch it before it wakes the Thing Upstairs.
"Don't Open That Trap Door" 1984 15
Whilst cleaning out his cupboard Berk finds an old radio and all the monsters (past and future) emerge from the trap door to dance to the theme tune.
"Junk Food" 1984 16
Rogg returns and eats all the garbage, he then causes trouble by going up in the lift to the Thing Upstairs' room.

Something horrible escapes and lays its eggs. Little things hatch quickly only to pop almost immediately.

Berk is trying to take a photograph of Boni and Drutt but gets interrupted by a flying thingy.
"Strange Goings On" 1984 19
Berk is taking everyone on a picnic but has to scratch the Thing Upstairs before he leaves. While he's gone something pulls Boni down the trap door. This episode is centered on Boni and his experiences through the trap door caverns then the swamp.
"Midnight Snack" 1984 20
Whilst everyone is asleep four identical greedy things (differing in colour and one is much smaller) emerge and raid the kitchen, causing a mess.
"Nasty Stuff" 1984 21
Berk makes some medicine for his headache but after drinking it he turns into a horrible monster.
"Sniff That" 1984 22
Something with a lot of eyes sneaks up on Berk while he's trying to unclog a drain. Something that sucks things into its mouth climbs out and in the end solves both his problems.
"Vile Pile" 1984 23
All the rubbish Berk keeps thowing down the trap door comes to life and starts spitting slime at him.
"Slightly Weird" 1984 24
Berk tries to pick mushrooms for the Thing Upstairs' breakfast but the mushroom runs off.
"Bye Bye Berk" 1984 25
Fed up of feeding the Thing Upstairs and fending off the trap door monsters Berk leaves.

Bubo (in his final appearance in the program) comes up from the trap door once again and starts a scunge fight (hench the name of the episode).
"Oh Globbits" 1985 27
After Berk bungs a burst water pipe with a worm (though the worm works itself free), he has to get rid of a giant green flying sponge that came out of the trap door.
"Moany Boni" 1985 28
A purple, devil-like horrible thing with supernatural powers comes up from the trap door and does changes not like the ones that the thing in "The Thingy" did to everyone; Boni gets a body (along with goat noises), Berk changes orange, then red, then grows large, and Drutt continuously changes colour (green, yellow, and blue).
"The Horrible Thing" 1985 29
Berk, Boni and Drutt play Hide and Seek since the Thing Upstairs had gone on vacation, but a custardy horrible thing comes up through the trap door midway.
"Not Very Nice" 1985 30
One of the Thing Upstairs' eyeballs goes down the trap door and Berk has to go after it.
"Bugs" 1985 31
Berk and Boni have problems with lots of creepy crawlies coming out of the trap door. In a parody of The Pied Piper of Hamelin, Berk uses a bugpipe to lead the creatures far away from the castle.
"Yum Yum" 1985 32
Berk throws Drutt down the trap door since the spider kept on getting in the way, but he eventually decides to get him back by fishing him out. Unfortunately, Berk fishes out a red horrible thing that looks cute but has a wide gape and nasty teeth.
"Birthday Surprise" 1985 33
It's Boni's birthday, so Berk makes a cake for him, and Rogg also joins the two for the party. Drutt is hiding, but for what reason?
"The Stupid Thing" 1985 34
While Berk is giving the Thing Upstairs a slime bath, Drutt mistakenly pulls up a dinosaur-like thing from the trap door.
"Boo!"[3] 1985 35
Berk throws rubbish down the trap door, filling it up to the top, but this summons ghosts that, as Berk thinks, are after him.
"The Lump" 1985 36
There is a rotten smell in the castle cellar and Berk investigates, he finds the source of the smell; something pink and smelly came out from the trap door. Rogg comes up and tells Berk, Boni and Drutt that it is a "Lump", and it proceeds to make lots of noise.
"The Splund" 1985 37
A "Splund" (hench the title) comes out of the trap door and makes wisecracks, while Berk is sewing the Thing Upstairs' pyjamas.
"Nasty Beasty" 1985 38
This episode is set in winter and Berk has to mend the Thing Upstairs' heater. Rogg comes up from the trap door with a green fuzzy thing.
"What a Weirdo" 1985 39
A pink worm-like thing comes up from the trap door and eats Boni, Drutt's babies, the Thing Upstairs' dinner, and Drutt (in that order).
"The Big Red Thing" 1985 40
The series finale. The red thing from the previous series causes chaos and Rogg chases it into the swamps and confronts it.
