List of Texas hurricanes (1980-present)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Texas is frequently affected by hurricanes as well as other tropical cyclones and their remains. This frequency is due to Texas' position along the Gulf of Mexico coastline and also because Texas is within the path of recurvature of tropical cyclones from the eastern Pacific ocean. This is a list of hurricanes that have affected the state of Texas in the United States since 1980.

- August 16, 2007 — Tropical Storm Erin makes landfall makes landfall near Lamar as a minimal tropical storm. Rainfall reaching 11.02 inches (280 mm) and winds of 39 mph (63 km/h) at Jamaica Beach[67] contribute to over $45 million (2007 USD) in damage[68][69][70] and 11 deaths.[71]
- September 13, 2007 — Hurricane Humberto makes landfall just east of the Louisiana/Texas border as a tropical storm, producing wind gusts of up to gusts to 90 mph (145 km/h),[72] and dropping up to 14.13 inches (358.9 mm) of rain.[73] The storm kills one person and leaves $50 million (2007 USD) in damage.[74]
