This is a complete list of Seattle Seahawks head coaches. The Seattle Seahawks are a professional American football team based in Seattle, Washington, USA. They are currently members of the Western Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The team, along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, joined the NFL in 1976 as expansion teams. Seattle is the only team to have played in both the AFC (American Football Conference) and NFC Championship Games. The Seahawks have one Super Bowl appearance, Super Bowl XL.
There have been 6 coaches for the Seahawks. The best coaching record is held by the current coach, Mike Holmgren who has coached the team since 1999. He is followed by Chuck Knox, who coached the team from 1983 to 1991. Mike McCormack is the only Hall of Fame coach to ever coach the Seahawks.
