This article is about the episodes of the anime series. For the live-action series, see Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.

Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーン Bishōjo Senshi Sērā Mūn?, Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon) is an anime series based on a manga by Naoko Takeuchi. There are 200 episodes in the five series, which originally aired on TV Asahi between 7 March 1992 and 8 February 1997. An English-language adaptation was produced following the popularity of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in North America.[1] Dubbed by DiC, most of the first two series aired in 1995-1996 on YTV, with the remaining few episodes released in 1997-1998. Later, the third and fourth series were dubbed by Cloverway, airing in 2000, also on the YTV network. The fifth series has not been dubbed into English, although it has been dubbed into other languages.

In addition to the episodes, three feature-length films were produced; as well as five shorts.

What follows is a list of anime episode titles for both the original Japanese series and the English-language dub. Please note that the air dates listed are the Japanese first-run air dates.

Nephrite creates a crystal that will guide him to the Silver Crystal. Usagi tries to tell Naru the man she loves is Nephrite in disguise, but she doesn't listen. He convinces her to steal a crystal from her mother and bring it to him.[23]

Queen Beryl partially awakens the evil entity Metallia and sends Zoisite and Kunzite to find the Seven Great Youma and their Rainbow Crystals. Meanwhile, the tomboyish Makoto Kino transfers into Usagi's school and falls for a crane-game whiz at the arcade.[25]

Naru is still very depressed, so Usagi and Umino take her to Yokohama to have fun. There, a kindly priest is attacked by Zoisite. Mamoru realizes that he is Tuxedo Mask, and drops a locket on the ground, where Usagi finds it.[26]

Zoisite aggravates the Rainbow Crystal inside Rei's grandfather, who becomes hyperactive and unstable. A young man, Yūichirō, wanders into the shrine, falls in love with Rei, and asks to work there.[30]

Pegasus entrusts his power to the Sailor Senshi and upgraded Sailor Moon's and Sailor Chibi Moon's brooches transforming them to Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Chibi Moon. Pegasus gave them new weapons - the Kaleido-Moonscope and the Crystal Carillon.

Everyone later found out that the old lady was waiting for her long lost love who is now a world famous chef of French cuisine.

The broken shards are said to be like "falling stars", and one falls in Mamoru's eye, while the disturbance interferes with Chibiusa's attempts to go back to the future. Meanwhile, Michiru and Haruka fight glass monsters that appear from the glass shards. Sailor Pluto arrives with baby Hotaru, who gives Uranus, Neptune and Pluto new powers in a pinch. After the battle, Hotaru suddenly grows up, and gives a warning of a revolution that will put the princess in danger.

People all around Tokyo are becoming entranced by their mirrors, including Mamoru. Usagi remembers a shadow she saw in Mamoru's mirror, and races off with the other Senshi to find him. Just as she realizes the shadow is Nehelenia, the queen drags Mamoru into her mirror world. 
170 "The Destined Night! The Agony of the Sailor Soldiers"

Mamoru gets taken through a mirror, and Usagi transforms and follows him against the her friends' wishes. The other Senshi teleport to Nehelenia's world to find Sailormoon, but end up getting separated. Mercury and Uranus are one team and attempt to defeat Nehelenia, but it was turned out to be a clone and traps the two in mirrors. The episode ends in a cliffhanger with Mars and Neptune caught in a trap.

Mars and Neptune battle against another mirror copy of Nehelenia, but after an exhaustive battle, they faint and get captured. Meanwhile, Pluto and Venus are also captured, while Jupiter sacrifices herself to save Sailor Moon, who fell under Nehelenia's hypnosis. One of Jupiter's earrings is left behind, and as Usagi looks at it, she remembers Tuxedo Mask. The hypnosis is broken, and Usagi makes her way through the final barrier to Nehelenia's castle: A stairway covered in thorns. 
172 "The Power of Moon Love! The Nightmare Ends"

Sailor Chibi-Moon and Sailor Saturn face Nehelenia. Sailor Saturn attempts to use her Silence Glaive, but is stopped by Chibi-Moon. Usagi finally arrives, just to see Chibi-Moon disappear as the curse progresses. Nehelenia reveals that she was alone as a child, but the mirror kept her company. After being physically assaulted by Nehelenia, Usagi's pity breaks the curse over Mamoru. Chibi-Moon returns, all the other Senshi are freed, and Eternal Sailor Moon's power returns Nehelenia to her childhood. 
173 "A Farewell and a Meeting! The Flow of the Stars of Destiny"

Mamoru is off to America to study and gives to Usagi an engagement ring. Three new popular film stars named the Three Lights show up. A new enemy, Sailor Iron Mouse, extracts a woman's "Star Seed", but Sailor Moon appears to stop her. However, the woman who had her Star Seed extracted turns into a corrupted form of a Sailor Soldier named a "Phage". A group of three mysterious Sailor Senshi, named the Sailor Starlights, show up, declaring there is no way to turn a human back to normal after they become a Phage. However, Sailor Moon is able to turn the woman back to normal.

Professor Amanogawa at the Senshi's high school is anticipating the return of a comet to the Earth's view. However, it begins to rain, and it looks bad for viewing of the comet. Meanwhile, Sailor Iron Mouse attacks Amanogawa, and Taiki, who arrived alone, transforms to battle him. Amanogawa is turned back to normal and the sky clears up, allowing for clear viewing of the comet. 
178 "Luna Saw It!? Idol Yaten's True Face"

Seiya signs the Three Lights up for a TV program about pop idols and their pets, but an iguana they had ready for the show runs away. Luna is nearby, however, and Yaten takes her in, not knowing she is Usagi's. Yaten bonds with Luna, while the Senshi try to find out what Luna is up to. We learn that Yaten is Sailor Star Healer. 
179 "Enemies? Allies? Starlights and Sailor Soldiers"

Taiki runs into Makoto in the school greenhouse, and asks her to come cook with him on a TV program. Usagi volunteers to be Makoto's assistant and makes a mess of things, while the head chef of the program is turned into a Phage. Taiki laughs for the very first time in years.

The Three Lights and Michiru are planning on doing a joint concert together, and the Senshi wish for tickets. After the concert, Seiya and Michiru flirt - Haruka walks in and Seiya and Haruka openly disagree with each other. A famous conductor is attacked by Sailor Iron Mouse. 
181 "Seiya and Usagi's Heart-Pounding Date"

Seiya invites Usagi to go to a park. While at a dancing area, Sailor Iron Mouse attacks Seiya as her new target. Seiya transforms into Star Fighter. Sailor Moon arrives transformed, and notices the keychain Seiya was wearing. Sailor Moon questions the Starlights about Seiya. Sailor Iron Mouse threatens to reveal Sailor Star Fighter's identity, but before it is revealed, Galaxia appears and removes Sailor Iron Mouse's bracelets. Afterwards Seiya appears, and tells Usagi she can have the keychain in gratitude for spending the day with him. 
182 "Invasion from Space! Seiren Comes Flying In"

Galaxia's new Sailor Soldiers, Sailor Aluminum Seiren and Sailor Lead Crow, take up Sailor Iron Mouse's job. Usagi finds a strange little girl, whom she tries to talk with. The girl seems to only be able to say "Chibi", but then she runs off. She later appears in Usagi's home, Ikkuko-mama now saying that she is Usagi's sister. After a search for a lost Chibi Chibi, Sailor Aluminum Siren changes a chief of police into a Phage. Usagi and Setsuna now have to face this new enemy. 
183 "The Scream of Dead Souls? The Mystery of Terror Camp"
"Shiryō no sakebi? Kyōfu kyampu no kaijin" (死霊の叫び！？恐怖キャンプの怪人) 		 August 10, 1996
Sailor Aluminum Seiren attacks an unidentified man. Usagi and the others travel to a lake, and Rei reveals that her cousin, a ceramic artist, lives near there. The Three Lights are also at the same lake filming a horror movie. A monster appears and ravages Usagi's camp, causing Usagi and Rei to transform while the rest scatter. The monster's dialogue and the way he reacts to a pendant Rei owns reveals that he is in fact Rei's cousin, Kengo, turned Phage. 
184 "A Night for Just Us! Usagi's Pinch"
"Futarikiri no yoru! Usagi no pinchi" (ふたりきりの夜！うさぎのピンチ) 		 August 17, 1996
Upon learning that Usagi will be alone overnight, Seiya offers to sleep over and protect her. Before Seiya could reveal his secret of being Sailor Star Fighter, Chibi Chibi interrupts. All the Sailor Senshi, excluding Hotaru and Setsuna, and the Three Lights "happen" to come by, and a pushy news reporter trying to get to the Three Lights is turned into a Phage inside Usagi's house. 
185 "Taiki Sings With Excellence! A Believing Heart Carried by a Song"
"Taiki zesshō! Shinjiru kokoro wo uta ni komete" (大気絶唱！信じる心を歌にこめて) 		 August 31, 1996
A young girl named Misa is in the hospital suffering from a dangerous illness that's hard to cure. Misa is a huge fan of the Three Lights, and when Taiki comes to greet her, the drawing she made looks just like a mysterious Princess the Starlights are searching for. A doctor from America comes to perform Misa's operation, is turned into a Phage, but is transformed back and successfully completes Misa's surgery. 
186 "The Mystery of ChibiChibi! The Big Noisy Chase"
"Chibichibi no nazo! Osawagase daitsuiseki" (ちびちびの謎！おさわがせ大追跡) 		 September 7, 1996
Chibi-Chibi comes home with many candies, and Usagi wonders where she got them. Usagi follows her when she goes out again. She loses track of Chibi-Chibi only to find her again in an extravagant mansion with a very rich man, who is turned into a Phage. 
187 "The Power of a Shining Star! ChibiChibi's Transformation"
"Kagayaku hoshi no pawā! Chibichibi no henshin" (輝く星のパワー！ちびちびの変身) 		 September 14, 1996
Usagi is challenged to a game of softball in order to continue associating with Seiya. However, right before the final inning, the opposing team's captain is attacked. Sailor Aluminum Seiren sees Usagi transform and decides that she is the holder of the true star seed. During the battle with the phage, Chibi Chibi transforms into a Senshi and powers up Sailor Moon's attack. 
188 "An Invitation to Terror! Usagi's Night Flight"
"Kyōfu e no shōtai! Usagi no yakan hikō" (恐怖への招待！うさぎの夜間飛行) 		 October 12, 1996
Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako all have tickets to board a fan club flight with the Three Lights. Jealous that she is barred from all the fun, Usagi sadly walks back home to find a letter addressed to her as Sailormoon, with the letter being from Sailor Aluminum Siren. Realizing that the flight is actually a trap, Usagi is desperate to save her friends. The Sailor Team and the Starlights are forced to reveal their identities to each other, and Aluminum Siren gets killed for not finding a Star Seed. 
189 "Torn Between Duty and Friendship! Confrontation Among the Sailor Soldiers"
"Shimei to yūjō no hazama! Sērā Senshi-tachi no tairitsu" (使命と友情の間！Ｓ戦士達の対立) 		 October 19, 1996
Usagi is torn between knowing that the Three Lights are the Sailor Senshi and her relations with Seiya. Yaten and Taiki urge Seiya to stay away from Usagi, and a local DJ is turned into a Phage. However, when Sailor Moon is distracted after changing him back, one of Galaxia's minions, Sailor Tin Nyanko, tries to ambush Sailor Moon from behind. Seiya jumps in the way and takes Nyanko's blast for Sailor Moon, injuring him. Sailor Star Healer and Sailor Star Maker show up, they tell the Senshi to stay away from them. 
190 "Truth Revealed! Seiya and Company's Past"
"Akasareta shinjitsu! Seiya-tachi no kako" (明かされた真実！セイヤ達の過去) 		 October 26, 1996
The Outer Senshi and the Starlights reveal their idenities to each other. Seiya tells them he will not see Usagi anymore. Usagi tries to get in contact with Seiya, despite opposal from the Outer Senshi and the other Three Lights. Seiya secretly invites Usagi to a upcoming concert, where his song reveals to Usagi his past: Galaxia destroyed their planet and many others. Their Princess escaped to Earth, they followed behind her, and they are now searching for her. Seiya, still not fully recovered after his injury, faints from exhaustion after singing. The manager of the concert is turned into a Phage. 
191 "When a Light Butterfly Dances in the Air! Premonition of a New Wave"
"Hikari no chō ga mau toki! Atarashī nami no yokan" (光の蝶が舞う時！新しい波の予感) 		 November 9, 1996
The Inner Senshi, minus Usagi, go to a game event in order to get closer to the Three Lights and talk to them regarding Seiya and Usagi. A woman is turned into a Phage, and the Senshi are forced to fight it until Usagi arrives. 
192 "Straight to Your Dream! Idol Minako is Born?"
"Yume icchokusen! Aidoru Minako tanjō!?" (夢一直線！アイドル美奈子の誕生) 		 November 16, 1996
Minako has been trying out in an "idol" competition that Yaten is judging and has made it to the final round. Sailor Tin Nyanko, in disguise, is also judging. Everyone keeps telling her not to forget her "real dream" outside of her duties. One of the judges is turned into a Phage. Yaten begins to understand the Senshi more now. He also gets closer to Minako. Minako passes the final round, but decides being with her friends is more important now. 
193 "The Silver Crystal is Stolen! The Fireball Princess Appears"
"Ubawareta ginzuishō! Kakyū Purinsesu shutsugen" (うばわれた銀水晶！火球皇女出現) 		 November 30, 1996
At the local school festival, Usagi is confronted by Sailor Lead Crow, who has also learned she is Sailor Moon. Lead Crow threatens the lifes of bystanders with a black hole. Usagi allows her Star Seed to be taken, but Sailor Tin Nynako attacks Lead Crow, who drops the black hole, gets sucked in, and dies. Usagi and Chibi-Chibi are swallowed by it as well, but the power of an incense burner Chibi-Chibi produces destroys the black hole. Usagi's Star Seed is returned to her as she floats down in the arms of a woman that the Starlights identify as the Princess they've been searching for. 
194 "Holy War in the Galaxy! Sailor Wars Legend"

The Princess reveals that she came to Earth to find the Light of Hope that will stop Galaxia from trying to plunge the entire universe into chaos. The Sailor Senshi try to protect Usagi from an attack following her all the time. Sailor Tin Nyanko attempts to attack Usagi on the roof of her high school, but when Usagi uses her Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss on Nyanko, one of Galaxia's bracelets on her body is destroyed. 
195 "Fireball Princess Dies Out! Galaxia Descends"
"Kakyū Purinsesu shōmetsu! Gyarakushia kōrin" (火球皇女消滅！ギャラクシア降臨) 		 December 14, 1996
Now that their Princess has been found, the Three Lights announce that they will be disbanding and hold their final concert. Galaxia and Tin Nyanko attack, and when the Senshi try to fight back, Tin Nyanko is torn between her good side and her bad side. Galaxia just removes the last bracelet and kills her. On the other hand, Princess Kakyuu sacrifices herself to defend the Senshi, but her Star Seed gets obtained by Sailor Galaxia. 
196 "When the Galaxy Perishes! The Sailor Soldiers' Final Battle"

With Princess Kakyuu's Star Seed obtained, Galaxia begins to attack the Earth and obtains the Star Seeds of every innocent person. The Starlights have already confronted Galaxia to avenge their Princess, and the Sailor Team goes after them. When they reach Galaxia and the Starlights, Galaxia steals the Guardian Senshi's Star Seeds, killing them. 
197 "Ruler of the Galaxy! Galaxia's Threat"

We soon learn what happened to Mamoru. Galaxia had already taken his Star Seed near the beginning of the season! The Senshi retreat to Galaxy TV, where Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn head off to fight Galaxia. Their efforts prove futile, and Galaxia simply offers them a deal to side with her. Pluto and Saturn oppose, but Uranus and Neptune accept Galaxia's bracelets! To prove their loyalty to her, they kill Pluto and Saturn and obtain their Star Seeds. 
198 "Disappearing Stars! The End of Uranus and Neptune"
"Kieyuku hoshiboshi! Uranasu-tachi no saigo" (消えゆく星々！ウラヌス達の最期) 		 January 25, 1997
Sailor Moon and the Starlights must face off their own teammates in a battle for one's life. When Galaxia commands the two to take Sailor Moon's Star Seed, instead they turn on Galaxia and attack her instead, thinking once that her Star Seed is removed, she'll be killed. But Galaxia has no Star Seed, and since Uranus and Neptune betrayed her, she removes their bracelets and leaves them to die. 
199 "The Light of Hope! Final Battle for the Galaxy"
"Kibō no Hikari! Ginga wo kaketa saishū kessen" (希望の光！銀河をかけた最終決戦) 		 February 1, 1997
With only Sailormoon, Chibichibi, and the Starlights left, the Starlights give the last of their energy to attempt defeating Galaxia, but are terribly wounded in the process. Sailormoon believes that Galaxia can be reverted to good again, and while her powers attempt to work, Galaxia retaliates at the last minute and nearly kills Sailor Moon. ChibiChibi is revealed to be The Light of Hope. 
200 "Usagi's Love! The Moonlight Lights Up the Galaxy"
"Usagi no ai! Gekkō ginga wo terasu" (うさぎの愛！月光銀河を照らす) 		 February 8, 1997
ChibiChibi restores Usagi's Star Seed, with it, Usagi turns into Princess Serenity. The Light of Hope transforms into the Sword of Sealing, which she begs Serenity to use as a weapon to defeat Galaxia. Serenity refuses to kill her, but she grabs the sword and grows a pair of angelic wings. Galaxia's body gets completely taken over by Chaos, and she attacks her with her own sword. Serenity slightly stabs her, Galaxia gets angry and shatters her sword, making ChibiChibi disappear. Serenity continues, refusing to fight Sailor Galaxia believing there is still good inside of her. She instead gives Galaxia the strength to expel Chaos from her body, an act which returns darkness to the minds of all life, where it belongs together with the Light of Hope. After the battle, everyone returns. The Starlights and Princess Kakyuu say their goodbyes and leave. The show ends with Usagi kissing Mamoru under a full moon after reaffirming their love for each other.

The flower and the asteroid carrying them are destroyed by Sailor Moon, who dies in the process. Fiore gives his energy so Sailor Moon may live again. 
"Sailor Moon S: The Movie"

Luna falls in love with a young astronomer, only to soon realize that he is in love with a human woman and is sick. Meanwhile, Snow Princess Kaguya attacks the Earth with her snow dancers so she may rule it. Sailor Moon manages to stop her with the Silver Crystal, sending her far away. Luna, as part of the Silver Crystal's charm, temporarily becomes human for the astronomer. 
"Sailor Moon Supers: The Movie"

Children are taken from their beds onto a ship by a piper, who leads them all to the Black Dream Hole. When they attempt to take Chibiusa, the Senshi follow and come to a place above the earth. There they meet Queen Badiyanu who plans to place all Children in a state of happy dreams and then conquer the world. Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon destroy her soon afterwards.

Clips are shown from the debut of each Sailor Senshi, and that girl's image song is played in the background. 
"Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon SuperS Plus: Ami's First Love"

Ami receives a love letter, and gets a bad skin reaction. She states that she doesn't have time to worry about love - the high school entrance exams are coming up. Ami has been getting all 100% on her practice exams, but another mysterious penname of "Mercurius" is getting all 100% as well. Ami believes this is a challenge by a new enemy, but also comments on how passionate a rivalry feels, and begins to think about Mercurius obsessively. A being named the Terayoka, a woman who feeds on the desires of others, notices this and attaches herself to Ami. Later, Ami is in bed sick, as the Terayoka is finishing her magic. Ami suddenly overcomes it, transforms into Sailor Mercury, and defeats the Terayoka, believing she was Mercurius. An investigation by the other Senshi reveal that Mercurius looks almost exactly like Umino.

This special is based on a side story from the manga. There were plans for the other two "Exam Battle" stories to be made into TV specials, but this never came to pass.

Usagi and Luna tell Chibiusa about Usagi's growth as Sailor Moon. This short is a recap of the first three series. The short ends with them wondering what Michiru and Haruka are up to, leading into the next short. 
"Supers Special: Haruka and Michiru, Again! The Ghostly Puppet Show"

Haruka and Michiru are at a hotel that is being taken over by a puppet and his master. Though Haruka is sick in bed it still doesn't stop her from being flirty. The hotel gets taken over by the puppet master and the other guests become puppets. Haruka is too sick to be of use in battle, and Sailor Neptune makes a wild gamble, destroying the puppets' bottle to save Haruka, risking the lives of the hotel guests in the process. "A world without Haruka isn't worth saving." Haruka transforms and defeats the puppet. Haruka is worried about a new enemy and Michiru assures her that Sailor Moon and the rest will take care of the world. 
"Supers Special: Chibiusa's Adventure! The Dreaded Vampire Castle"
"Supasu Supesharu: Chibiusa no Bouken! Kyoufu Kyuuketsuki no Yakata" (SuperSスペシャル: ちびうさの冒険!　恐怖、吸血鬼の館) 		 April 8, 1995

The short starts where the first one left off. A new student show up in Chibiusa's class named Ririka. Strange things begin to happen - children go missing, flowers die, and the new girl is doing weird things, such as eating flowers. The Sailor Senshi investigate, and Ririka is revealed to be a vampire. The Guardian Senshi use "Sailor Special Garlic Attack," which is actually exhaling out garlicky breath obtained from eating Korean Barbecue. Ririka is released from the spell and only remembers everything as a bad dream after being defeated.

This special is based on a side story in the manga. In that version, the garlic attack is used by Sailor Chibi Moon rather than the Guardian Senshi.
