This is a list of characters who appear in the Rumble Roses female wrestling games for the Playstation 2 and Xbox 360. The cast of characters varies slightly between titles, i.e., between Rumble Roses and Rumble Roses XX.

(Japanese: 日ノ本零子 (Hinomoto Reiko?)) Reiko was raised and trained in the art of wrestling from early childhood by her mother, a legendary wrestler (Kamikaze Rose). Reiko was told her mother had perished during a mishap at a match that occurred 10 years ago while on tour in the U.S. Her older sister by three years, Fujiko, who Reiko grew up training with, left for the U.S. to seek revenge at age 18 and has not been heard from since. A student and top-ranked member of the wrestling club at Japan Women's Physical Ed College, she also works part time as a race queen to support herself. One day Reiko came across an ad seeking entrants into the Rumble Roses Championship Tournament series and in the hopes of finding her sister, she decides to sign up.
Personality: Reiko is a girl that loves competition and is not afraid to show it. She respects her opponents, her mother's legacy, and often prays to her before and after a match. Reiko also deeply cares for her sister Fujiko as supported by her reason for joining the tournament. It should also be noted that she acknowledges she still has a long way to go to reach the level of her mother, which motivates her to train even more to fulfill her dream of becoming the greatest wrestler in the world worthy of the Hinomoto name.
Note: "Reiko" is a combination of the character "rei", which means "zero" (in reference to her stage name "Zero Fighter") and "ko", a common suffix for Japanese female names.

The only daughter of a prominent Texan ranch owner, Dixie helps out with the family ranch while also working at the local sheriffs' office. Although strong willed and candid, like most typical Texan women she is friendly and sociable. Dixie is a regular winner of rodeo contests since the age of 12 and was recently ranked the #1 most eligible bachelorette in Texas. She decided to try her hand at Rumble Roses when she found out that her idol, the legendary wrestler Kamikaze Rose, entered the tournament.

This female Ninja wrestler is actually working undercover for the Japanese government to investigate the Rumble Roses organization. A member of the "otugumi" Ninja unit, her code name is Bloody Shadow and her actual name is "Benikage" (which means "crimson shadow"). She is the shyest Rumble Rose: she tends to blush everytime during a swimsuit shoot.

Personality: Miss Spencer is dedicated and caring, but a somewhat controlling English teacher. She generally sees only the kindness of all her students. Miss Spencer is happy, but seems to have a lazy attitude; she is trying to become a poet in her days off.

Candy sings lead vocals of the all girl punk band "The Killer Bambies". Society has labeled her a misfit and a punk, but in reality, she has a pure heart. She entered Rumble Roses in order to win the prize money and to save the orphanage where she was raised. In Candy's ending, she defeats Lady X and tells Miss Spencer she's leaving school to become a wrestler.
Personality: Candy Cane is a very adventurous person and wishes to prove she is number one. Candy Cane's rough exterior is the way of projection she uses to hide that she is actually a kind girl. Anyhow, Candy proves to be your average rebellious school girl.

Blessed with a heavenly voice and sexy dance moves, this highly successful money-making star has won every contemporary Grammy available. She may be the reigning diva in showbiz, but she still harbors a strong sense of rivalry with Dixie Clemets from high school. When she heard that America's favorite cowgirl entered Rumble Roses, she decided to enter herself and put that Dixie girl to shame!
Personality: Aisha is often rude to those she encounters, namely her rival Dixie Clemets. Aisha is very impatient, seeking to win a match with Dixie who she dislikes because Dixie had everything handed to her whereas Aisha had to work hard for what she has now. She even went as far as to insult Reiko with the reference of her mother "flipping over in her grave" prior to their match. Her desire to defeat Dixie and reclaim her spotlight seems to be the only thing she cares about throughout the whole tournament. However, when Dixie saves Aisha from the attack of Lady X in the final match, they start to soften up and become friends, although it doesn't last very long.

(Japanese: 藍原誠 (Aihara Makoto?)) A child prodigy of Judo, Makoto is the current gold medalist in 50 kg class. She has elite status as a judo practitioner, but yearns to avenge her loss in her childhood at the hands of another girl. She joins Rumble Roses when she finds out the other girl entered.
Personality: Makoto is very polite and well-mannered to her opponents. She is shy, but can be prone to impassioned ranting, she is also very innocent and always does her best in every fight.

She also possesses the great strength of her father and brother. Aigle joined Rumble Roses in order to convince her father and brother that she is a great warrior. She is very kind and rather compares herself in a way to become the most beautiful of all.

A feared masked wrestler who is known for her very rough tactics, Evil Rose's origins are shrouded in mystery. She has superhuman reflexes and agility, which she uses to full advantage while torturing her opponents. Yet, for some reason, she appears when Reiko is in trouble.

This mysterious self-appointed nurse serves as Lady X's assistant. A voluptuous Latina beauty in a white uniform, she always seems to sport a slightly chilling grin. She is particularly gifted at complicated submission moves. In her ending, she defeats Lady X after Bloody Shadow programmed it to destroy Anesthesia. When the battle is over, an unknown voice is heard telling Anesthesia she will bring her to justice. Anesthesia laughs telling the unknown voice that she can't wait.

Lady X Substance is an artificial being made from the genetic codes of the famous Japanese female wrestler, Kamikaze Rose. Technically, she is a cyborg, as sufficient portions of her are mechanical. Lady X was created by Anesthesia to alter the military balance on a global scale and to plunge the world into fear and suffering. Though not necessarily "complete", her creator (Anesthesia) is always looking for new "donors" to use to complete Lady X. Lady X is the final storyline opponent for all the starting characters, even Anesthesia, who in her storyline faces Lady X who has been reprogrammed by Bloody Shadow to turn against her creator. Lady X herself, has no story mode.
Substance and Subsistence are homages to the Metal Gear Solid Games - MGS 2: Substance and MGS 3: Subsistence.
[edit] Alter Egos
Alter Egos are the characters' "other self" or opposites of their default types. (For example, a Face's alter ego would be a Heel.) Alter egos can be unlocked by either completing Story Mode, or playing Exhibition with any character and performing various "vows". Once an alter ego character is unlocked in Exhibition, the previous character is not selectable. In order to get a character back, you must perform other various "vows".

Alter ego of Reiko Hinomoto. After Rumble Roses, Reiko met up with a group of bikers who called themselves "The Road Warriors". Soon, Reiko became their leader, and was given the name "Queen Cobra". She denies being Reiko, saying she has killed her. Though at the end of her story, she asks Noble Rose if their mother is still proud of her. Noble Rose answers her, thus making Rowdy Reiko ride off on her bike.
[edit] Sgt. Clemets
Alter ego of Dixie Clemets. Dixie changed her attitude after performing various "fouls", which resulted in fans "booing" her. She then became a cop, though with her changed attitude, became a rather "crooked" cop.
[edit] Yasha aka Judgment
Alter ego of Benikage. Yasha is the "true self" of Benikage (even though her name means "demon"). She believes in justice, liberty, and all sorts of other things that would define the typical "hero".
[edit] Mistress aka Mistress Spencer
Alter ego of Miss Spencer. Mistress is a "dominatrix" version of Miss Spencer, though they both have different personalities. She is also the only character in the original game to begin a match with a weapon; her riding crop. To go with her dominatrix gimmick she has a "slave", a homosexual man in clown make-up named "Sebastian" who could be wrestled in the Japanese version of Rumble Roses XX. In the English version of Rumble Roses XX, he can be played in Exhibition mode (only) by holding down LT (Left Trigger) while selecting Mistress.

Alter ego of Candy Cane. Becky is your typical cheery cheerleader. Miss Spencer convinced Candy Cane to go back to school, and Candy soon joined the cheerleading squad. She uses this to her wrestling advantage, as many of her attacks and moves focus on various cheerleading stunts.
[edit] Sista A aka Showbiz
Alter ego of Aisha. After Rumble Roses, Aisha's record sales took a severe downfall, resulting in failure to make any money and soon being out of the business. However, Aisha still had a passion for dancing, and entered the Rumble Roses tournament just to dance on the stage.
[edit] The Black Belt Demon
Alter ego of Makoto Aihara. With amazing strength and skill, she hopes to win Rumble Roses again. However, she is purely possessed. She has the face of an angel but the heart of a demon. She wishes to kill Reiko and Aigle, her best friends and greatest rivals. During the intervening time she seems to have wrestled with and domesticated a bear named "Non-non" who is also available as an opponent in the Japanese version of the game. In the English version of Rumble Roses XX, Non Non (and a panda version) can be played in Exhibition mode (only) by holding down LT (left trigger) while selecting Black Belt Demon. She also appears to be a geisha.
[edit] Great Khan aka Killer Khan
Alter ego of Aigle. Aigle didn't know that being a noble warrior would be a difficult path and began to make fouls. She didn't go back home thinking her father and brother would laugh at her. Aigle decided to become Killer Khan and plans to conquer the world.

Alter ego of Evil Rose. Most likely Fujiko's true form before she became Evil Rose. Like Yasha, Noble Rose believes in things that define the typical hero. She bears a striking resemblance to Cutie Honey.
[edit] Dr. Anesthesia aka Dr. Cutter
Alter ego of Anesthesia. This is Anesthesia when operating. After her project with Lady X went horribly wrong, Anesthesia became Dr. Cutter, with hopes of rebuilding Lady X and improving her, as well as getting revenge on those who defeated her and turn them into the so-called donors of the Lady X Project then turning them into an unbeatable army of cyborgs and experiments.

Alter ego of Lady X Substance. Though there really isn't any noticeable change (other than red-lit eyes and a different set of moves), Lady X Subsistance is exactly identical to Lady X Substance. However, Lady X Subsistance is in her true "cyborg" form.

Sebastian is a homosexual clown "slave" belonging to Mistress. He can be played in Rumble Roses XX's Exhibition mode by selecting Mistress while holding down the Left Trigger.

Non-Non is The Black Belt Demon's pet bear, he can also be played in Rumble Roses XX's Exhibition mode by holding down the Left Trigger while selecting The Black Belt Demon. Furthermore, there is also a panda version in his alternate costumes.
