[edit] Resident Evil
[edit] Zombie
A zombie is any person who has been infected with the T-Virus and turned into a reanimated corpse. The incubation period for the virus varies depending on how strong the person's immune system is. Symptoms prior to mutation include extreme feeling of hunger and itchiness. Long incubation period will lead to slow, but eventual, rotting of the person's skin. Eventually, the virus proceed's to the host's brain and begins deteriorating it. Once deteriorated enough, the transformation from human to zombie is complete.
A zombie has lost all powers of reason and is driven by instinct. A zombie can be defeated by severely damaging the central nervous system or extreme muscle and bone deterioration. A zombie can also be defeated by severe blood loss but this may only be temporary in some cases, as zombies can mutate and turn into a Crimson Head.
A zombie can continue to chase an individual even after losing limbs or the lower half of its body. A zombie's most common way to attack is to grab its victim and bite it, although a zombie can also vomit stomach acid onto a victim.
- Appears in: all versions except Resident Evil 4.
[edit] Cerberus or Zombie Dog
A Cerberus or more commonly known as a Zombie Dog is a Doberman that has been infected with the T-Virus. These dogs usually have parts of their internal organs and rib cage partially exposed. Although the terms Cerberus and Zombie Dog are usually used interchangeably, there is a difference between how they were created, with the former being intentionally created and the latter accidentally.
A Cerberus was used as a subject by Umbrella to test the effects of the T-Virus. They were given the code number MA-39 and were named after the mythological three-headed guardian of Hades. They were seen in the Arklay Research Facility and running loose in the Arklay forest area. Several were also being transported within the Ecliptic Express.
Zombie Dogs were created through accidental exposure to the T-Virus as a result of a viral outbreak. The Zombie Dogs in Rockfort Island Military Training Facility were military dogs used by Umbrella's Special Forces. Of these, most only experienced skin necrosis, exposing their musculature. Aggression is also increased, making them very dangerous.
- Appears in: All versions except Resident Evil: Dead Aim and Resident Evil 4
[edit] Crows
During the outbreaks in the Arklay Mountains, and Raccoon City, many crows were immediately infected with the T-Virus after eating infected flesh. An infected crow grows larger than a regular crow and will immediately attack any living creature that wanders into its territory. Also, an infected crow is not as sensitive to loud noises as their regular counterparts.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil (all versions), Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil: Outbreak, Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: Extinction.
[edit] Wasps
Wasps thriving in the Arklay Research Center's Residence, that have grown to a huge size from the viral outbreak. They are no different from a normal wasp except for the size, but they do build a large hive in the mansion. Their stings are strong enough to penetrate bone, and the venom can kill in minutes if not treated.
- Appears in: Resident Evil (all versions), Resident Evil Outbreak and Resident Evil Outbreak File #2, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Giant Spider
There have been several spider-based B.O.W.s created as a result of Umbrella's experimentations with the T-Virus. Common characteristics between these creatures are their abnormally large size and their ability to spit venom.
The first were the Web Spinners, born in the Arklay Research Facility. These spiders lost their ability to spin webs due to their increase in size. However, they retained their ability to crawl over walls and ceilings and will leave behind a swarm of baby spiders when killed. The Black Tiger is a type of Web Spinner that has undergone further mutation. It is twice the size of a regular Web Spinner and has the ability to spin webs.
The spider-based B.O.W.s developed in the Umbrella Management Training Facility were known as Giant Spiders. They are similar to the Web Spinners. The term Giant Spider is also used for the infected spiders in Raccoon City that are not B.O.W.s, but were infected by the viral outbreak.
The Black Widows are B.O.W.s that were developed based on data collected from the Giant Spiders in Raccoon City and as their name suggests, they were developed by implanting the T-Virus into black widow spiders. They were sent to Rockfort Island for training purposes. However, one of the Black Widows was transferred to the Antarctic Facility and mutated into the Giant Black Widow as a result of the environment change. Like Web Spinners, the Giant Black Widow will release its offspring upon death.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil (all versions), Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil: Outbreak, Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2, Resident Evil: Survivor, Resident Evil Survivor 2: Code Veronica, Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Chimera
A Chimera (which received its name from the mythical Greek creature) is a B.O.W. that was created by inserting fly DNA and the T-Virus into human tissue. They were being manufactured inside the Arklay Research Facility's basement lab and adopted that section of the facility as their habitat during the mansion incident. Aside from their fly-like appearance, the Chimera's most notable characteristics is their ability to walk over walls and ceilings. They usually use the air ducts to travel from one part of the lab to the other and attack with their claw-like limbs.
The Chimera was the only other artificially produced B.O.W., besides the Hunter and Tyrant, that was created through genetic manipulation. Their wings were too small to allow them to fly, and they lacked a fully developed exoskeleton. Even though they showed signs of notable resilience, their intelligence was little more than that of an insect. Due to their many flaws, further research into more advanced forms was never conducted, and the Chimera's basic form was never refined to the lengths of the Hunter or the Tyrant. Still, Umbrella has continued at least limited production of Chimeras in other facilities, as several were discovered during Chris and Jill's raid on their Russian HQ.
- Appears in: Resident Evil (all versions) and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Hunter
- Further information: Hunter (Resident Evil)
[edit] Crimson Head
A Crimson Head is a type of zombie, officially named the V-ACT by Umbrella. After the T-Virus infects a human being, it causes a decline in brain activity. Should the resulting zombie be incapacitated, after a time its tissue regenerates. The T-Virus causes further necrosis and terrible blood seepage, giving the zombie its crimson skin, small claws, increased resistance to firearms, slightly increased intelligence and a more aggressive attitude. Capable of running and jumping, a Crimson Head presents a significant threat.
The process is only halted by a high amount of damage being done to the zombie's body in order to render it incapable of functioning. This can usually be done by incineration, decapitation, or the destruction of legs of the fallen zombie, thereby destroying any possibility for regeneration and mutation. The King Crimson Head (KCH) was found at the basement of the Spencer Mansion, inside a coffin, and was believed to be Lisa Trevor's father. In Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, when a character got close to the coffin, the KCH would literally jump out of the coffin and scare the players playing the game. The KCH has the ability to run 2.78 times faster than that of a regular Crimson Head. The blood seepage is 7 times worse than a regular Crimson Head. The KCH takes 734 Submachine Gun ammo to take down. For grenades, it took 128 grenades to take down. For the Samurai Edge 2, it would take 1964 shots to kill the KCH. For the Assault Shotgun, it took 645 shotgun ammo to kill. For the Magnum AT, it would take 377 rounds to kill the KCH. The longer a Crimson Head is left active, the harder its skin will be and the harder it will be to take a Crimson Head down.
- Appears in: Resident Evil (GameCube remake), Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, and Resident Evil: Extinction.
[edit] Yawn
The Yawn is a snake-based B.O.W. that was originally a specimen that escaped from the laboratory and grew to huge proportions as a result of exposure to the T-Virus. It got its name due to the fact that it appears to be yawning before swallowing its prey. Its fangs inject a potent venom that can only be treated with a serum found in the mansion's medical storage room. If the wound is not treated in time, the victim will be immobilized and eventually killed by the poison.
In Resident Evil: Deadly Silence, Yawn reappears in the same room where players earlier battled Plant 42. Unlike earlier, Yawn now has thicker scales, making it invulnerable to damage except for its soft underbelly and mouth.
- Appears in: Resident Evil (all versions) and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Adder
A small snake that was not mutated extensively by the T-Virus, and that holds none of the characteristics of more enhanced B.O.W.s, such as Yawn. It has a poisonous bite, in addition to being small and hard to hit.
- Appears in: Resident Evil (all versions) and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Neptune
Neptune, named after the Roman god of the sea, is a B.O.W. that was created by implanting the T-Virus into a great white shark. It was given the development code of Fi-3 and was created specifically to test the effects of the virus on a sea creature. The creature was accompanied by two smaller offspring. During the viral outbreak in the facility, Neptune and its spawn were released from their water tanks by a scientist, who had gone mad, which flooded the entire Aqua Ring. Two Neptunes swam in the river bordering the Raccoon University.
- Appears in: Resident Evil (all versions) and Resident Evil Outbreak, and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Tyrant
- Further information: Tyrant (Resident Evil)
- Appears in: All Resident evil games excluding Resident Evil 4.
[edit] Resident Evil 2/Resident Evil 3
[edit] Licker
The creature got its name from its long sharp tongue which it uses to attack its prey. Its brain and musculature are exposed. They do not have eyes and have to rely on their acute sense of hearing to detect prey. Lickers are quadrupedal and can climb walls.
In addition to normal Lickers, there were also Enhanced Lickers located in Umbrella's Underground Research Facility in Raccoon City. These had a greater resistance and attack power than the regular Lickers, are green in color and have larger claws. They are more agile, and tend to attack in groups. Enhanced Lickers also possess more developed senses that allow them to find their prey without first hearing movement.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil Survivor, Resident Evil Survivor 2, Resident Evil Outbreak, Resident Evil Outbreak File #2, and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Cockroaches
These insects appear very rarely. One kind simply swarm around the area and bite other creatures. The others are spawned from a sewer gate and fly around biting at creatures.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil: Survivor, Resident Evil: the Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil Outbreak.
[edit] Ivy/Poison Ivy
Ivy monsters are the results of Umbrella experiments on plants, mostly derivative from the Plant 42 experiment. Due to this, they have also been referred to as Plant 43. They are bipedal green plants with arm-like vines and a large orange flower for a 'head'. Their main method of attack is to whip their target with their vines. They can also attack at range by spitting acid. If players get too close, the plant will grab them with their vines and spit acid over their bodies. In some cases, the monster may appear to be dead, but will still whip players who walk too closely. They can also bite a character's head off.
Should the player choose to release a gas called P-Epsilon into the lab, Ivies are enhanced and become Poison Ivies. While the gas weakens other B.O.W.s and was designed to help suppress escaped subjects, it strengthens these plant monsters. Poison Ivies have slightly different coloration than their counterparts and are physically tougher. The most notable difference is that the acid they spit is now poisonous.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil: Survivor, and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Moths
A moth, enlarged due to prolonged exposure to the T-Virus. It can fly despite its abnormal growth and increased weight. The moth's main attacks are to spray their enemy with poisonous powder or to charge. The moths in Resident Evil Code: Veronica in the Antarctic Research facility also have a poison powder attack and they can lay eggs on a target's back which stay on until they hatch and cause damage. In Survivor, only two moths appear in the game and are smaller than the ones in Raccoon City.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil: Survivor, Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Resident Evil Outbreak and Resident Evil: Dead Aim.
[edit] G-Larvae
William Birkin, in his G-Mutant stages, reproduces by implanting a parasitic organism into a human by regurgitating a larva that burrows into the body of a host and grows. It will then try and transform the host into a G-type mutant. This will only be successful if the DNA of the host is similar to Birkin's or the G-Carrier. If it is not suitable, it will exit the body forcibly, and further mutate into a large, massively deformed creature similar to that of a human and a G-Carrier.
All the mutants can reproduce at an alarming rate and attack in a similar manner, such as spitting acid, ramming, swinging its claws, and biting.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil Outbreak.
[edit] Alligator
During the viral outbreak in Raccoon City, survivors Leon S. Kennedy ada wong sherry birkin and Claire Redfield encountered an alligator that mutated to a huge size as a result of T-Virus exposure. It uses the garbage dump inside the sewers as its habitat and source of food.
Infected alligators were also seen during the viral outbreak in Sheena Island. Like the one in Raccoon City, these were not deliberately created B.O.W.s, but accidents.
An alligator was also found in the 'Wild Things' scenario of Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 (referred to as Gnaw in the game's bonus materials), swimming in its zoo habitat that the survivors had to cross. Although the virus did not change its physical appearance or size from that an uninfected alligator, it did improve its aggression.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil Survivor, Resident Evil Outbreak File #2.
[edit] Brain Sucker
The Brain Sucker is a relative of the Drain Deimos. These creatures mainly differ from Drain Deimos by their means of attack and their double heads. Brain Suckers run at their victims and try to latch on to the head in order to devour the brain. During this attack, they may also inject poison into their prey. Brain Suckers were originally fleas.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 3.
[edit] Drain Deimos
Created accidentally by uncontrolled merging of several insectoid creatures into one. They attack by using their multiple arms to snare prey and use their powerful mandibles to bite the victim. They move around by climbing walls and ceilings. Drain Deimos were originally fleas.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil Survivor 2.
[edit] Grave Digger
A huge worm-like creature. Exposed to the T-Virus, the worm has mutated to enormous size. It retains the ability to burrow underground, and it prefers a subterranean environment, although it will surface if hunger overwhelms its natural instincts. It usually attacks by lunging or biting, using its huge bulk to force its prey into a corner, where it can trap and devour it.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Sliding Worm
Grave Digger's offspring. Usually found near a water source, they will latch onto their prey and suck its blood.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 3.
[edit] Resident Evil Code: Veronica
[edit] Albinoid
An Albinoid is an experimental B.O.W. that was created in Rockfort Island by performing gene manipulation with an infant salamander and infecting it with the T-Virus. The creature has the ability to manipulate electricity and shock its prey in the water.
An Albinoid has a quick growth rate, able to grow from an infant to an adult in ten hours. The adult Albinoid is bigger and has a more powerful electric charge than the infant.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
[edit] Ant
A small insect that poses little threat, although they still carry the T-Veronica virus and attack in swarms if their hive is invaded. Alexia Ashford intended to use these ants to infect the entire world with the T-Veronica virus.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
[edit] Bandersnatch
A Bandersnatch is an experimental B.O.W. that was designed within the Rockfort Island military training facility. The creature got its name from the bandersnatch. The Bandersnatch was designed to be a Tyrant-class weapon with greater adaptability and cheaper cost. It has a flexible body, capable of withstanding sustained punishment, and a single massive arm which it can stretch great distances to attack its prey, or to jump from one point to another.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Resident Evil Survivor 2.
[edit] Gulp Worm
The Gulp Worm is a common earthworm infected with the T-Virus. It hunts through the use of its highly sensitive exterior, by feeling vibrations emitted through sound and during movement. If it senses prey, the Gulp Worm will launch its considerable mass towards its target, generally knocking it to the ground, or consuming it whole.
The Gulp Worm is very similar to the Grave Digger, although it does not possess the latter's large mandibles. It is encountered at the Umbrella Corporation's prison facility on Rockfort Island.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
[edit] Infected Bat
The Infected Bat is a large vampire bat infected with the T-Virus, seen inside the cathedral in Umbrella's Management Training Facility. In addition, there were several smaller bats in the cathedral. There were also infected bats in Rockfort Island during the viral outbreak, but these showed no sign of increased size and could be easily deterred by light.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Nosferatu
Nosferatu was once Alexander Ashford, the father of Alexia and Alfred Ashford, who had been used in an experiment with the T-Veronica virus by his own children. They considered Alexander a failure of the Ashford family, and showed no remorse in using their father as a test subject for Alexia's T-Veronica virus.
Alexander, due to the T-Veronica virus, had mutated into the creature known as Nosferatu. His skin had discolored into a greenish-gray, and had a blindfold over his eyes, which had been surgically removed due to deterioration from the mutation. His heart is exposed. His hands are shackled behind his body. His main mutations are massive tendrils sprouting from his back, and his ability to produce toxic gas clouds from his chest.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
[edit] Parasite
A parasite planted by a moth that bursts from a zombie's chest and latches onto its victim's back. When a zombie is shot, a parasite sometimes leaves their host's chest cavity and lands on the player's back. It can survive for a while after the host is dead and can attack by grappling their prey. It is also poisonous.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
[edit] Tentacle
A group of large, mutated plant vines which extend throughout the Umbrella Corporation's Antarctic base, and are controlled by Alexia Ashford. The tentacles possess great speed, being fast enough to catch up to Steve Burnside and Claire Redfield's fleeing snowmobile in Antarctica, and strong enough to deliver a devastating blow to Steve's mutant form.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
[edit] Resident Evil Zero
[edit] Mimicry Marcus/Leech Zombie)
When a large enough brood of leeches come together, they assemble into a humanoid form, named Mimicry Marcus due to its tendency to take on the shape of James Marcus. Its limbs can extend to strike at targets. If it grabs a hold of a target it will soak it with acid. It can survive even after having its head, torso, and arms completely destroyed. In doing so, it will swell to an enormous size and explode.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
[edit] Eliminator
The Eliminator is a primate-based B.O.W. and one of several early prototype weapons developed exclusively by James Marcus during the final test phases of the Progenitor capabilities as a weapon, but before the selection of a specific carrier for the strain. Developed alongside the Eliminator were the Lurker and Plague Crawler. Primates infected with the Progenitor strain exhibited rapid development of excess muscle tissue, resulting in visible tearing to the subject's skin. Further exposure caused a rapid increase in strength, agility, stamina and aggression, resulting in a deadly and efficient killer.
Although initially deemed a successful product, the Eliminator was found to have undergone significant decline in overall intelligence, which was supposed to be its greatest asset to Umbrella's B.O.W. program. Mass production of the Eliminator was cancelled and only a handful of specimens preserved for further testing and general research. Marcus instead turned his attention to the potential that human subjects presented as T-Virus hosts, later unwittingly providing William Birkin and Albert Wesker with the first scraps of information pertaining to the creation of the Tyrant-class B.O.W.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Plague Crawler
The Plague Crawler is one of the bio-weapons created from Marcus' early experiments with the Progenitor, along with the Eliminators and Lurkers. They were created by manipulating the genes of several insects into one organism and then implanting the virus. A Plague Crawler is two meters long and attacks its prey with large pincers. They were considered unfit for heavy combat due to their lack of intelligence and were disposed of.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 0.
[edit] Lurker
The Lurker is one of the first bio-weapons created from Marcus' early experiments with the Progenitor Virus along with the Eliminators and Plague Crawlers. It is a frog that has grown to large proportions. Its eyes have devolved greatly from the mutation, but this is compensated with improved hearing senses and a strong body. They attack with sharp piercing tongues and can swallow a human whole. However the mutation showed no increase in intelligence and research on them was abandoned, since their main trait, randomly attacking all moving objects, was of little interest to the advance of B.O.W.s.
- Appears in: Resident Evil 0.
[edit] Leech
There are two kind of infected leeches through the Resident Evil story lines. The first variant is the one spawned by the Queen Leech, which features a notable increase in aggression and size, in addition to a strong communal hive mentality and the capability to bind together to form the Mimicry Marcus enemy. Marcus intended to use these leeches to infect the entire world with the T-Virus. These leeches are infected with the Progenitor Virus-borne strain of T-Virus, and should not be confused with the other kind.
The second kind is featured in Resident Evil: Outbreak, in the "The Hive" scenario. These leeches are far more dependent on blood, are smaller, infected with another strain of the T-Virus, and are unable to bind themselves in the same manner as the Resident Evil Zero leeches. Yet, when attacking a person in one of the rooms of the Raccoon Hospital, they inflict Bleeding status, and can be distracted with transfusion bloodpacks. They can attack in large groups and consume their victim(s) with sheer numbers, transforming them into a Leech person.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil: Outbreak, Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
[edit] Centurion
An enlarged and genetically mutated centipede. Unlike most creatures infected with the T-virus, the appearance of the Centurion is similar to that of a regular centipede, save for the colossal size. The Centurion, like many other creatures in the series, was an accidental creation of the T-virus outbreak.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Zero.
[edit] Stinger
A massive scorpion encountered during the Ecliptic Express incident in Resident Evil: Zero, in which it breached the ceiling of the train's bar and confronted Billy Coen or Rebecca Chambers. In either case, it had little means of attack other than merely ramming its prey, using its pincers or stinging with its tail. It possesses an armored carapace that shields it from all harm, making it all but invulnerable unless shot directly in the head or stinger.
Appears in: Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
[edit] Resident Evil 4
[edit] Resident Evil: Dead Aim
[edit] Glimmer
The Glimmer is a Hunter-class variant B.O.W. that was created entirely by accident. These creatures possess over 20 eyes atop their flat heads, which glow in the dark. They first appeared in the sub-levels of an Umbrella Corporation waste disposal facility in the Atlantic, and were named "Glimmers" by the facility's maintenance personnel. They are extremely fast, their multiple glowing eyes leaving a blur effect as they move.
- Resident Evil: Dead Aim.
[edit] Nautilus and the Torpedo Kids
The Nautilus is a failed experiment that was supposed to be disposed of in Umbrella's island facility. They quickly reproduced and started infesting the underwater areas of the facility. Their offspring, dubbed Torpedo Kids due to their shape and behavior, lived and grew in the water where they remained once they became fully grown Nautiluses.
- Appears in Resident Evil: Dead Aim.
[edit] Pluto
Pluto is the result of massive experimentation upon a human subject by Umbrella. The project involves the removal of the eyeballs and the use of muscle enhancers. The subject, known only as condemned criminal "Alpha", gained a massive amount of weight, and adapted to his blindness with an enhanced sense of hearing. In the "Experiment 'a' Log," it's author writes, "It recognizes precisely where a sound originates and its distance from that sound." The author later states in his log that Pluto escapes, suspending the project.
Pluto is a massive, Tyrant-like monstrosity. His eye sockets are no longer visible, and his left hand has mutated into a mouth-like appendage. Considering his massive girth, Pluto is very fast.
- Appears in Resident Evil: Dead Aim.
[edit] Queen Bee
The Queen Bee is exactly what her title entails: A queen bee grown to terrifying proportions. There is also another form where it mutates further to give birth to millions of smaller wasps and it grows to enormous sizes where it attempts to eat the player whole.
- Appears in Resident Evil: Dead Aim.
[edit] Resident Evil Outbreak series
It has been suggested that this section be split into a new article. (Discuss) |
[edit] Regis Licker
The Regis Licker is a Crimson Head in an early stage of further mutation, that inevitably ends as a Licker. The Regis Licker is still humanoid in appearance and possesses many traits not common to Lickers, such as eyes are compound-eye, them fly like monster, and a lack of exposed brain tissue. The Regis Licker suspends itself from ceilings by its hind feet, lashing out at potential victims with its claws and elongated tongue; unlike the Lickers, the Regis Licker uses its tongue as a whip instead of a spear, strangling or lashing its victims to death. Throughout the entire period of the outbreak, only one Regis Licker was ever reported, in the lobby of the Apple Inn during the evacuation of the underpass region.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak, Resident Evil Outbreak File #2.
[edit] Green Zombie
The Green Zombie is another 'irregular' created when a T-Virus infected host somehow became infested with mutated plant growth. The Green Zombie only appeared in the dense Arklay Forest during the "Flashback" scenario in Resident Evil Outbreak File #2, and is suspected to have come into contact with an enormous infected plant, referred to as 'Dorothy', located at an abandoned hospital on the outskirts of Raccoon City. The Green Zombies are suspected to have been members of a botanical team that had recently reported the discovery of a previously unknown species of plant life in the Arklay region. Not releasing specifics regarding their find, the team wanted to be certain that rival elements within related fields of research would not be given the opportunity to steal credit for their discovery. The team mysteriously disappeared following a sudden loss of communications, and the nature of their extended research would have made prolonged study and subsequent encampment a probability.
The Green Zombie behaves in much the same manner as its regular counterparts, as the plant growth infesting the creature seems to have had no obvious effect on the T-Virus strain, although the Green Zombie appears to have highly toxic spores coursing through its bloodstream, and will release said spores into the surrounding environment when physically harmed.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2.
[edit] Axe Man
The Axe Man is the former head of the hospital in the Arklay region where Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2 takes place, named Albert Lester. He was devastated by the death of his wife, Dorothy, and eventually returned to the abandoned hospital. There he found the remains of his wife and a decorative plant that had become infected with the T-Virus. The much-enhanced plant devoured the corpse, and Lester started viewing the monstrosity as Dorothy's resurrection, feeding it with Arklay wildlife. Then, after Dorothy grew too much, he started wandering into the woods, luring hikers and campers to the abandoned hospital, then proceeded to systematically stalk and kill them with an axe, feeding the corpses to Dorothy. After a time, he noticed his body had been changed by the virus; he no longer felt hunger or thirst, and even though a camper managed to shoot him, he barely felt pain. Eventually, he ran across the survivors of Raccoon City and led them to the same trap, though they managed to fend him off and destroy Dorothy. After collapsing, the plant released Dorothy's cadaver, and Lester became unhinged at the sight, as the hospital crumbled on him.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak #2.
[edit] Zombie Lioness
The type of zombie lions encountered most frequently in the Raccoon City Zoo during the "Wild Things" scenario are lionesses imported from Africa.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Zombie Lion
The male zombie lion, known as Stalker or Max, attacks in ways that are similar to the female lions previously encountered in the Raccoon City Zoo.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Zombie Elephant
The zombie elephant, known as Titan or Oscar, will terrorize the player throughout the Raccoon City Zoo during the "Wild Things" scenario. The zombie elephant is the main boss of the "Wild Things" scenario, unless it has been killed or trapped at the Elephant Stage.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Zombie Hyena
Zombie hyenas appear in a few places inside the Raccoon City Zoo during the "Wild Things" scenario. Although they behave and attack just like the Cerberus, they react to human presence with less speed.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Horn Bill
These exotic birds with bright feathers have become infected with the T-virus and now seek to attack the populace. Horn Bills fly overhead, looking for prey. They appear in the Raccoon City Zoo during the "Wild Things" scenario.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Flying Bug
Flying Bugs are tiny, nearly invisible insects that are mainly detectable when flying in a swarm near a Rafflesia plant during the "Wild Things" scenario.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Giant Leech
This enemy is in the underpass entrance of the Raccoon City Hospital during the "The Hive" scenario. Mutated to an enormous size by the T-Virus, it is very sensitive to heat, not unlike its brethren.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak and Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Ivy Plant
Long green ivy that usually extends from the base of a flower box in the Terrarium Dome located inside the Raccoon City Zoo during the "Wild Things" scenario, or from a low crack in the wall at the abandoned hospital during the "Flashback" scenario. These sentient green vines prefer to grow in darkened corners, making them difficult to spot.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Evil Shade
Large orange bulbs that grow on vines, found entangled in and around the hospital in the Arklay Mountains during the "Flashback" scenario. They are stationary and emit a poisonous cloud.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Dorothy
An ordinary plant in the Arklay Hospital that became infected with the virus and began to mutate. The Huge Plant is encountered during the "Flashback" scenario. It attacked Lester, the hospital director, and devoured the corpse of his wife, Dorothy. The plant grew whenever it consumed living flesh, and grew to a monstrous size, extending its vines throughout the entire building.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Drainer
A hanging plant bulb that appears to grow from the giant plant located in the Arklay Forest Hospital during the "Flashback" scenario. They will extend down and latch around the throat of the character, attempting to choke the life out of them.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Twisters
The Twister is a large tentacle that extends from the water below the suspension bridge, and in the grass in front of the Arklay Hospital in the "Elimination 2" scenario of Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2.
- Appears in: Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2
[edit] Mega Bite
Fleas mutated to freakishly large sizes, they are found in the Raccoon City Subway during the "Underbelly" scenario. They will attempt to latch onto player and suck their blood.
- Appears in: Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
[edit] Giga Bite
The queen Mega Bite has grown nearly as large as a subway tunnel. The Giga Bite is encountered during the "Underbelly" scenario.

[edit] Nyx
The Nyx B.O.W. was a prototype stored in Raccoon City. The Nyx is an organism that seems to be made out of nothing but pure T-virus. After the Raccoon City outbreak reached critical levels, Umbrella began pulling its resources out in preparation for Mission Code XX. Rodriguez tried to smuggle Nyx out of Raccoon for sale to the US, but the helicopter that was intended to transport Nyx out of the city was attacked by an Umbrella executive with a Stinger missile. While the pilot managed to avoid the missile, the sealed capsule containing the Nyx organism fell into an overpass.
Nyx, freed from its restraints, displayed its truly frightening powers by attacking a group of U.B.C.S. A while later the T-0400TP also fell victim to the Nyx, the T-virus flowing within the Tyrant's body allowing it to absorb the Tyrant, while keeping it alive. Additionally, being nothing more than a gelatinous organism, it was immensely resilient and exhibited great strength as a result of absorbing the T-0400TP.
Ultimately, it was felled by a group of survivors, who detonated the charge inside the body of the Tyrant, bringing the Nyx to its knees and rendering it vulnerable, then obliterating its core with a nearby rocket launcher.

[edit] Leech Man
A Leech Man is created when a massive amount of leeches in Raccoon Hospital attach themselves to a dead human. The leeches take control over the host and control it like a puppet, chasing and feeding on any living humans or blood supplies. It can move freely between any room by using the ventilation shafts.
The leeches that cover the Leech Man render him invulnerable to gunfire.

[edit] Cleaners
The "Cleaner" is a humanoid creature encountered throughout Resident Evil: Survivor. Whilst they are members of the elite "Umbrella Trashsweeper" unit, their identities or species is never specified. The unit is dispatched to areas where a possible breach in security or potential incident may invite unwanted attention. Unlike the U.B.C.S., or the U.S.S., the U.T.'s sole operational task is the complete annihilation of any and all evidence regarding Umbrella's illicit activities. Additionally, while the other units are comprised of human mercenaries, the cleaners are not quite human. This not only includes buildings and evidence, but also personnel believed to be involved. The team is led by an anonymous officer who provides information and operational orders to each team.
The mystery surrounding the species classification of the U.T.'s stems not only from their tendency to shriek and scream in an odd manner when provoked, but also their ability to contort and twist their bodies at unnatural angles to avoid attack. The "Cleaner" also appear to have green blood. Further still, the U.T.'s have unusually long arms and never appear to speak or communicate with one another during battle. Each trooper carries an assault rifle and wears a black hazmat suit complete with breathing apparatus and infra-red goggles. After death, a U.T.'s corpse will dissolve.

[edit] Dr. Cameron
When the outbreak in Raccoon City began, Dr. Cameron was stranded in the city. Eventually, she was infected with the T-Virus, but managed to avoid the fate that her colleagues suffered by injecting herself with an experimental serum she had been working on. It stopped her becoming undead, but had the unexpected side effect of turning her into a monster.
Cameron was able to infect other creatures with her cells. Once inside the body, she could control the subject's mind, either maintaining their appearance, or transforming into her monstrous form. Her mind was left fully intact.
When a U.B.C.S. team was sent in to retrieve his or her research data, Cameron killed them off one by one. Eventually, she infected one of the last soldiers, Roger, and escaped the city with the teams supervisor, Klaus. But she turned on Klaus, impaling him with her tentacles and revealing her true form to him.
