  1. ^ Neilson coached the last two Senators regular season games for the 2000–01 NHL season. This was done so that he could complete 1000 games as a head coach in the NHL.
  2. ^ Paddock was hired as the Senators' head coach at the beginning of the 2008 season as previous coach Bryan Murray stepped down to take over as GM. He was fired on 27 February 2008
