The Montreal Music Scene has recently garnered much attention in popular media (The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Spin Magazine, BBC, NPR...). The growing success of the current "scene" owes much to a couple of bold local record labels (Alien8 Recordings & Constellation Records), as well as the Pop Montreal Music Festival. Because of this recent success, Montreal music venues are a plenty. Each one, with its own unique character, has been able to meet the needs of musicians from every walk of life.
