  • Yong Mun Sen, 杨曼生 - (1896-1962) Kuching born Penangite watercolorist and Malaysian artist.The Father of Malaysian Painting. One of the founder of Nanyang Acadeny of Fine Arts or NAFA, Singapore, Penang Art Society. [1]
  • Ramsay Ong - Kuching born, pioneer batik painter artist, works exhibited in USA, France, Hawaii, Japan, Sri Lanka museums and art shows. Has his own art gallery at Main Bazaar Kuching called "Artrageously Ramsay Ong".
  • Edric Ong - fashion designer, pioneer for silk-based Iban ethnic designed pua fashion materials; also well known architect and author of many books. Owns and operate "Edric Ong Gallery" and has won design awards worldwide from UNESCO, USA and Japan for his unique designs on artworks.
  • C. N. Liew - K.L. born Malaysian artist who took the traditional artform of Calligraphy to a whole new dimension with his creation of Surrealligraphy.
