The Legion of Super-Heroes is a team of comic book superheroes in the future, as published by DC Comics. It has gone through various different iterations, as well as two separate reboots.

Introduced in Adventure Comics #247 (April 1958), the original version of the team appears in various titles for 36 years, making its final appearance in Legion of Super-Heroes (vol. 4) #61 (September 1994).

[edit] Batch SW6/New Earth team

Introduced in Legion of Super-Heroes (vol. 4) #24 (December 1991), "Batch SW6" was a teenage version of the original team, whose members had all reached adulthood. Its roster was equivalent to the original team's membership just prior to Ferro Lad's death, with Valor and Laurel Gand replacing Superboy, Mon-El and Supergirl (and with all three of Triplicate Girl's bodies intact). Eventually, the members of the team were revealed to be time-paradox duplicates of the original Legionnaires created by the Time Trapper. Batch SW6 made its final appearance in Legion of Super-Heroes (vol. 4) #61 (September 1994).

This version of the Legion emerged in the aftermath of Zero Hour, and first appeared in Legion of Super-Heroes (vol. 4) #0 (October 1994). In Infinite Crisis #6 (May 2006), it was revealed that this version of the team inhabits Earth-247.

The aftermath of the Infinite Crisis mini-series has restored a close analogue of the pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths Legion to continuity, as seen in "The Lightning Saga" storyarc in Justice League of America and Justice Society of America (June-August 2007), and in the "Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes" storyarc in Action Comics (Late December 2007-May 2008).
