This article contains character information for the American drama/adventure television series Kyle XY.

- Kyle is the main character and basis of Kyle XY. In the episode Pilot, Kyle was taken in by the Trager family. He learns how to do everyday things like eat/drink, speak, and even some of the "powers" he has.
- Nicole Trager is a psychologist that took Kyle in after he was found in the city. Her family officially adopted Kyle in Homecoming. She is married to Stephen Trager and had two children with him, Lori and Josh. Nicole was the first person Kyle went to tell her about Jessi and also Madacorp. Josh also went to her before anyone to tell her that Andy has cancer.
- Stephen Trager is a software programmer who loses his job and ends up working at MadaCorp. He is the adoptive father of Kyle and biological father of Lori and Josh. He is married to Nicole Trager.
- Lori Trager is the daughter of Nicole and Stephen Trager. She is the sister of Kyle and Josh. Lori has dated Declan McDunaugh and has broken up with him several times during both seasons. She took up an interest in playing the guitar and even wrote a song about her and Declan in the episode. She frequently says that she's a cynic, but can have her positive moments.
- Josh Trager is the son of Nicole and Stephen Trager. He is the brother of Kyle and Lori. Josh met Andy Jensen, a girl about his age, who tells him that she has cancer the same exact time he tells her that he likes her.
- Declan McDonough is the ex-boyfriend of Lori Trager and best friend of Kyle. Kyle confides most of his secrets with Declan.
- Amanda Bloom is the girlfriend of Kyle and friend of Lori who lives next door. She is an expert pianist and her strict mother has high expectations for her.
- Jessi XX is a girl manufactured by the same company that created Kyle. She was dating Declan but then after the Madacorp people changed her attitude, she starts to crush on Kyle
- Andromeda "Andy" Jensen is a close friend of Josh Trager. She acts very similarly to Josh and in Ghost in the Machine reveals to him that she has cancer. It is revealed in The First Cut Is the Deepest that Andy's name isn't short for Andrea; rather, it is short for Andromeda, a woman from Greek mythology.

- Charlie Tanner is the ex-boyfriend of Amanda Bloom. He is also a former friend of Declan McDunaugh. In Overheard it is revealed he is cheating on Amanda with Hillary.

- Hillary is the best friend of Lori Trager. She had an affair with Charlie Tanner until he revealed that his attraction to her was strictly physical. In The List is Life Hillary informs Amanda of this.
- L.K. Deichman is a nerdy boy who Kyle befriends during his first day at High School.

[edit] Workers of Zzyzx
- Tom Foss is a former worker for Zzyzx and current protector of Kyle. Starting in the episode Homecoming Foss began training Kyle. Foss talks to Kyle for the first time after leaving in the Season 2 Season Finale.
- Adam Baylin is the creator of Zzyzx and basis for Kyle's appearance. Kyle and Baylin met in Endgame and lived at the Baylin mansion until Baylin's death in The Prophet. He came Back in the Season 2 mid-season finale, when it was revealed that he was still alive.
- Brian Taylor was the personal helper for Adam Baylin. However, in Ghost in the Machine it was revealed Taylor betrayed Baylin by letting Professor William Kern forcibly remove him from Zzyxx.

- Rebecca Thatcher seemed to run Zzyzx after Baylin was removed. She ordered Cyrus Reynolds to kill Kyle but instead was killed in The Prophet after Foss firebombed the Zzyzx headquarters.

- Cyrus Reynolds was the director of security of Zzyzx and was ordered by Thatcher to kill Kyle and Foss. Reynolds injured Foss but was eventually killed in Foss' bombing of the Zzyzx headquarters.

- William Kern was a former professor at the University of Washington he taught Baylin and was recruited by Baylin to work for Zzyzx. Later, Kern and Taylor forcibly removed Baylin from his position because Kern wished to kill experiment 781227 (Kyle). However, Foss removed Kyle from Zzyzx and killed Kern.

- Sarah: Adam Baylin's former lover and "Mother" to Kyle and Jessi.

- Julian Ballantine appears to be the leader of MadaCorp, the company that owned Zzyzx until it was bombed by Foss. Ballantine ordered Emily Hollander to pretend that Jessi is her sister in order to get Jessi into Kyle's life so he can be terminated.

- Emily Hollander is a worker of MadaCorp who was assigned to pretend to be the sister of Jessi. Emily was able to get Nicole to be Jessi's psychologist and was until What's the Frequency, Kyle? when Emily was taken off Jessi's assignment and assigned to get close to a new MadaCorp employee, Stephen Trager.

- Detective Jason Breen is a detective that was assigned to finding out who Kyle was. Breen uncovered the remains of Kern found in the same spot that Kyle turned up in. Breen also led David and Julie Peterson to Kyle.

- Carol Bloom is the mother of Amanda Bloom. She has a large hatred for Kyle who broke into her house in Pilot and discovered that she pawned Amanda's favorite bracelet for money in Come to Your Senses. When Kyle inspired Amanda to play the piano after her not playing for a long time, she allows Kyle to ask Amanda to prom.

- David and Julie Peterson are a couple hired by Foss and Baylin to bring Kyle to Baylin. The Petersons posed as Kyle's birth parents and in order to bring Kyle back to the Tragers it was stated by Brian Taylor that they were dead.
