This is a list of neighborhoods in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The neighborhoods in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area include, among other places, the communities within Kansas City, Missouri; Independence, Missouri; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; and Overland Park, Kansas.

Kansas City, Missouri has more than 150 neighborhoods. The city's Neighborhood & Community Services Department maintains an official registry [1] of organized "neighborhood associations", which overlap in many cases.
Some lists contain as many as 240 neighborhoods[2], without many developing neighborhoods in the northland being defined yet.

- The North End is the original focal point for the Sicilian-Americans in the early 1900s, which still holds a similar connection for this ethnic enclave; sometimes, this location and North East, as well, were called "Little Italy" by non-Italians and outsiders to Kansas City. The neighborhood itself is just north of the River Market.
