This is a list of episodes for the anime Gantz. The first season and first half of the second season roughly follow the manga, while the second half of the second season is anime-only material.

Kei Kurono: an apathetic, self-centered teenager is on his way home when he crosses paths with Masaru Katou, an old childhood friend. When a homeless man accidentally falls onto the tracks of the subway, the pair risk their lives to help the man to the platform. But the pair are gruesomely killed by the express train and are transported to a condominium with other people who have recently died: a school teacher, a politician, a regular joe, two yakuza gang members and a mysterious young 8th-Grader named Nishi. Before long an attractive, naked girl (Kei Kishimoto) is teleported to the room and is almost the victim of rape from one of the yakuzas, before Katou stops them. Then music starts coming from the mysterious black ball... |

02 | "They Aren't Human" | |
Kei Kurono is thrown into a deadly "game". Everyone goes off looking for the alien, while he, Masaru Kato, and the girl go off on their own trying to find a way home. What kind of game is this? And, by the end will they all survive? | ||
03 | "Kei, You're Awesome!" | |
With only three people left, the alien attacks Kato. Will Kato survive? And, can Kurono outrun an alien?! | ||
04 | "OK, Here Are Your Scores" | |
Not being able to shoot the alien, Kurono drops his gun. Thus, Nishi takes the points and finishes it. Nishi says that anyone still alive can return home fully recovered. Kurono and the girl look to Kato, who is near death. They try to wake him up so that he can return. Will they be successful, or will Kato become one more dead victim of the night? | ||
05 | "Then That Means, at That Time..." | |
Now that Kurono, Kato, and Kishimoto are alive again, they can return to their regular lives… or can they? What trouble awaits the three in the future? Are they really alive? And, can Kurono survive a fight with a school bully? | ||
06 | "All Right!" | |
After finding Kishimoto asleep at his door, Kurono has one lucky streak after the other. Eventually, Kishimoto asks if she can stay with him! Kato is, however, unaware of Kishimoto's problems. Will she tell him? Meanwhile, everyone else has problems of their own... | ||
07 | "We're After You" | |
Kurono and Kishimoto decide to head to Kishimoto's old house to see what the "other Kishimoto is like". What will they discover? Meanwhile, Kato is having trouble at home, with his aunt beating his littler brother, and at school, with bullies picking on his friends. When a gay senior challenges him to a fight, will he go too far? | ||
08 | "Uh-oh!" | |
Gantz calls Kurono, Kishimoto, Kato, and Nishi once again. But, who else will it call and what new mission does it have for them? | ||
09 | "Kill It There!" | |
The bikers kick Tetsu out of the gang, Kurono doesn't have his suit, Nishi badmouths everyone, then the hunt for the Suzuki alien begins | ||
10 | "Yuuzou-kun?" | |
Kurono, without a suit, follows the Suzuki alien until he makes it mad, then leads it to the others. Nishi and the alien face off in the canal. | ||
11 | "I Can't Shoot Him" | |
Kato takes on the alien, Kuranit may be too late for Nishi | ||
12 | "Please stay here, Katou-kun" | |
The team splits. Kato, Kishimoto and Hojo go after the other Suzuki aliens. Kato's suit runs out of power. Kurono, Testu & Haruya find the rest. | ||
13 | "Please Die..." | |
Kurono faces off against the main alien alone. The survivors get their scores. Or do they? |

Kurono can't seem to stop thinking about Kishimoto and the fight they had... that is until a new game begins. What does Gantz have in store for them this time...? | ||
16 | "It's Me!" | |
The priest convinces the others that Kato is a demon. The game begins. Meanwhile two punks go bum hunting. | ||
17 | "Is It OK to Shoot Them?" | |
The team takes on the Colossi, the bum hunters continue. | ||
18 | "Welcome Back (Gantz Episode)" | |
Kurono takes out the green colossus, the team goes after the red one, but the fight's not over, more statues awaken. | ||
19 | "What the Hell is This?" | |
After the fight with the Red and Green Colossi, the team must take on several man sized statues, plus a Colossal Buddha! | ||
20 | "Shoot Me" | |
The battle with the statues continues, with tragic consequences. | ||
21 | "Brother (Gantz episode)" | |
The final battle with the statues, who will survive? | ||
22 | "Don't Ever Say That Again" | |
Having barely survived the last mission, Kurono is drawn back in. This time the players include the bookshop clerk, his teacher, and the bum hunters. The rest introduce themselves and Kurono snaps. | ||
23 | "Kurono Alien" | |
Gantz makes Kurono the target! Everyone sees Kurono as the person that killed them. | ||
24 | "No Maze is Inescapable!" | |
The team realize the bum hunters are psycho and team up with Kurono to try and stop them. | ||
25 | "Let's Go Back Alive" | |
The team tracks the bum hunters to a funeral home and a firefight breaks out. | ||
26 | "Live!" | |
Kurono gets teleported back to the time right before he got killed, but this time the train stops in time right before it hits him. |
