[edit] Fairy Tail Guild
Fairy Tail is a powerful guild that runs like a giant family, with Makarov being the father figure of all the members whom he considers his children. They are greatly disliked by the Magic Council(with the exception of Sieglein) because the members often cause a lot of unnecessary trouble and destruction during their missions that causes problems for the Council. Fairy Tail has been shown to be respected by many of the other guilds, but have also been shown to be hated by dark guilds and their rivals, Phantom Lord.

Sieglein (ジークレイン Shīgurein) - A young mage whose magical power is noted to be higher than that of the older members of the council. Though other council members have been critics towards Fairy Tail's modus operandi, he likes the way they act and use magic. He seems to be interested in Natsu, whom he refers with his full name of Natsu Dragonil. He bears striking resemblance to Sieg Hart, a character in Hiro Mashima's other manga Rave Master. Sieglein has an unknown dream in mind that he wants to accomplish. The failed attempt to make Deliora his own was just one step on his path to achieve his dream. Natsu is also a part in his dream, though the part that Natsu plays in Sieglein's dream is unknown. Sieglein is one of the Ten Holy Great Mages. He has hinted in the past chapters that he has an old connection with Erza.
Urtear (ウルティア Urutia) - A sorceress who is seen magically playing with a lime sphere. She is an Inspection Mage for the Magic Council. During the Garuna Island arc it was revealed that she disguised herself as Zarti. Urtear is revealed to be the lost daughter of Ur.[1] She doesn't seem to have any respect for her though, saying that she was just a "pitiable woman possessed by the path of magic and dumped by my father".
Makalov - Third seat for the Magic Council. Attempting to disband Fairy Tail for the numerous rules broken and destruction caused by them.
Ouko - Second seat for the Magic Council. Trying to disband Fairy Tail.
Shitou - Sixth seat for the Magic Council. Seems to be old friends with Makarov.

The villains of Fairy Tail are vast and will continue to grow as the series progresses. Each one has a very colorful personality and bring a new magical degree to the table. Many of the villains run in a group, with the most powerful mage acting as the leader and a few to hundreds of subordinates working underneath them. Most of the villains are either from a guild; be it active, dark, or disbanded.
