  • The Pitchforks -- all-male, founded in 1979; Nominated for Best Song, Best Album, and winner of Best Arrangement according to The Contemporary A Cappella Society [2]
  • Speak of the Devil -- all-male, founded in 1991
  • Out of the Blue -- all-female, founded in 1980; Nominated/won many times over the years for "Best Album," "Best Song," "Best Soloist," and "Best Arrangement" according to The Contemporary A Cappella Society [3] and featured in the Best of College A Cappella series.
  • Lady Blue -- all-female
  • Déjà Blue -- all-female
  • Sapphire -- Christian, all-female
  • Rhythm & Blue -- co-ed, founded in 1992; selected for Voices Only 2006, BOCA 2007, and BOCA 2008. Nominated for Best Mixed Collegiate Solo and Best Mixed Collegiate Arrangement according to The Contemporary A Cappella Society [4]
  • Something Borrowed, Something Blue -- Christian, co-ed, founded 1969
  • Kol Kachol -- Jewish, co-ed, founded in 2008; Duke's newest a capella group

  • One Time Only -- co-ed, founded in 1998 and intended to run for only one year
  • The Duke Blue Devils -- all-female, two-member a cappella parody group founded in 1995
