Taiwan has long been a destination for foreign learners of Chinese and is home to many Chinese language schools. Several schools also offer courses in Taiwanese, or less commonly Hakka and Cantonese.
- International Chinese Language Program (ICLP), an institute of National Taiwan University
- Center for Chinese Language and Cultural Studies (CCLC), formerly the Mandarin Training Center, an institute of National Taiwan Normal University
- Taipei Language Institute (TLI), an independent, privately-run school
