The following is a list of past and present Chairmen of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. The current Chairman of the Federal Reserve is Ben Bernanke. There have been a total of 14 Chairmen of the Federal Reserve as of 2007. The Chairman is one of seven members of the Board of Governors[1]of the Federal Reserve System, and is appointed by the President of the United States.
