After a day at the museum, the Detective Boys find a piece of paper with symbols and the word "ORO" written on it. Conan only believes that it's a treasure map after he discovers "ORO" means gold in Italian. It is only until nightfall when they figure out what the symbols mean. They find gold coins hanging from the ceiling of an abandon building, but they interrupted by a gang from the Italian mafia. With Conan's quick thinking, the Detective Boys are able to capture the men. | ||||

When Conan runs into two men in black on the Shinkansen bullet train, he uses a bug to overhear their conversation, which reveals that there is a bomb in a black suitcase onboard. Conan is able to narrow down the location of the suitcase but there is four people carrying one. He is able to figure out who has the bomb at the last moment and manages to kick it off the train just in time. | ||||

When Conan tries out a video game that Ogawa received, he figures that it belonged to a child that died during an operation led by Ogawa three years ago and Ogawa's child might be in danger. They find suspect and Ogawa's son at the park just in time to prevent a murder. | ||||

Using a call from Professor Agasa, Conan tells her that Shinichi will contact Ryoko later and Ran and Conan decide to go to her apartment to wait for Shinichi. Conan snoops around the apartment to find out star soccer player Hide Akagi's little brother has been kidnapped and he is forced to lose the big game. With a clue from the kidnapee's video game, they find him at the house of Hide's friend and rival. | ||||

Kogoro is sent a large sum of money by Keiji Asou to come to Tsukikage island investigate. When they reach the island, they discover that Keiji was a famous pianist and he has been dead for ten years after he set fire to his house. Three people are murdered, each found with a hidden message and a recording of a different movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata playing. Clues point to Dr. Narumi who has been creating an alibi by reporting the wrong time of death and Conan deduces that he is Keiji's son disguised as a woman getting revenge for murdering his family. Like his father, he kills himself by setting the town hall on fire. | ||||

Conan uses the new radio transmitters the Detective Boys received from Professor Agasa to get clues and find where the car is heading. They boys finally catch up to rescue Ayumi, but not before they find out the girl's head was a paper mache prop for a play. | ||||

The message is only decoded when Conan turns the calculator upside down to discover the location of the sniper and stop the shooting | ||||

The detective boys are accidentally locked inside a department store after hours. They are extremely unlucky - that night, robbers take over the store. They are soon found out and chased. With clever strategies, the Detective Boys are able to apprehend the robber. But Conan has an uneasy feeling and discovers the elevator girl is the mastermind of the robbery. | ||||

Conan is certain that the company's owner is the one who did it, but she was also in a non-stop elevator heading to a different floor. With the help of tape, a coin, and a cellphone, the owner is able to pull off the simple trick, and Conan gives the evidence that the murder weapon is in her bag because she didn't have the time to discard it beforehand. | ||||

Genta and Mitsuhiko suddenly disappears leaving Conan and Ayumi following an old woman down hidden stairs where they find a caged man. Conan's deduces that the man, who was the son of the person who was murdered years back, is being locked away against his will by his mother who doesn't want him to confess to the police. | ||||

The main suspect, the man who ordered Kogoro to trail the victim, gains over five billion yen of life insurance money, and since he was on a trip for three days, he has a perfect alibi. With clues from the photos taken by Korogo and the suspect, Conan is able to determine that the victim died before the suspect's trip and the man who Korogo was following was a man disguised as the victim. | ||||

The man and the woman unmask themselves revealing they are Shin'ichi's real parents who played a trick on him so he would come with them overseas, but Conan refuses. | ||||
