Dinobot, who could no longer be welcome back to the Predacon rank, joins the Maximals for repayment to Optimus for saving his life. Meanwhile, the Predacons accidentally blow up a mountain, which revealed to have raw energon. This results in a race and a battle in beast forms between the Maximals and Predacons. |

Rattrap and Dinobot accidentally activates Sentinel, the Axalon's new defense system, before it has learned that the Maximals are friends. Feeling guilty for starting it Rattrap stayed inside Axalon so he could shut down Sentinel. Meanwhile, Blackarachnia leads a Predacon mission, trying to break into the Axalon, leaving Tigatron the only one to stop them. |

Scorponok tries to infect Optimus with a virus that changes him into a coward, but it changes the gorilla into a crazed maniac instead. |

Terrorsaur leads a rebellion against Megatron, and the ensuing fight accidentally blows up the Darkside when an energon sample is hit. Thinking they have won the Beast Wars, the Maximals decide to salvage parts from the Predacon ship and go back to Cybertron. But the destruction of the Predacons turns out to be an elaborate ruse planned by the Predacons themselves. |

Eventually he will not only destroy the Axalon, but himself as well. Dinobot and Rattrap must cooperate for once as they search for Tarantulas' lab, hoping he has the counter-virus. |

After accidentally killing a feline friend in a fight with Inferno, Tigatron feels guilty and almost leaves the Maximals. But Dinobot and Optimus Primal were able to bring him back. Meanwhile Inferno, Waspinator, and Terrorsaur are looking for a gift to give to the "Queen", with Tigatron and Dinobot at the top of their list. |

The Predacons attempt to annihilate a colony of pre-humans to change the outcome of the future war between the Autobots and Decepticons. The Maximals defeated Ravage by destroying his ship, with him inside it. Rampage also perishes due to an automatic missile fire. Meanwhile Blackarachnia, Silverbolt, and Megatron find the Ark, the ship that carried the Transformers that would go on to start the Great War in 1984. |

Rampage destroys the Axalon, forcing the Maximals to retrieve their belongings and move into the Ark. |

After returning to base, Cheetor has nightmares and soon transforms just after waking up. The other Maximals begin to hunt this creature, initially unaware that it is Cheetor. When Optimus decides that Blackarachnia's Predacon core should be surgically removed, she runs away, and is attacked by Dinobot II. She later realizes that it is her choice to make and returns with the Maximals. |

Megatron kidnaps a young human, Yuna, to finish a giant disruptor ray that targets Cybertronians. Yuna follows her directions from Megatron but manages to steal the stabilizer crystal that is key to the rays function. Megatron's plot for Maximal destruction is put on hold, for now. |

Blackarachnia attempts to become a Transmetal 2 with the help of the alien device she had stolen. However, thanks to the intervention of Silverbolt, the experiment takes a terrible turn and threatens her life. Rhinox travels into her subconscience to try and rid her of her Predacon makeup, needing power to do so. The Predacons interfere with the operation from a tip from Tarantulas. The Predacons are successful in destroying Blackarachnia initially, but the alien device reincarnates her body into a Transmetal thus giving her a new form. |

During a mission to the Maximal base, Optimus Primal is hit with a burrowing cyberbug that controls his spark. Tarantulus and Quickstrike form a mild alliance in order to destroy the Ark and Megatron. Once Megatron absorbs his infamous namesake's spark, Tarantulus' deception is revealed. Megatron is then dropped into lava where his transformation begins. Blackarachnia manages to diffuse Tarantulus' plan to destroy the ark due to her past knowledge of his work. Megatron rises from the lava having now become a gargantuous Red Dragon. The Beast Wars have been altered inexplicably. |

Quickstrike is put to trial for his betrayal towards Megatron but is interrupted when the Vok send Tigerhawk, a fusion of Tigatron and Airazor, to stop Megatron's inteference with time. They do not realise however, that Megatron has part of his predecessor's spark within him, thus destroying him would cause an unimaginable timestorm of epic proportion. Tarantulus captures Tigerhawk and proceeds to destroy his Vok control. The experiment goes fatally wrong and Tarantulus is destroyed. The sparks of Tigatron and Airazor reunite with the body of Tigerhawk and he is welcomed back home, under the watchful eye of a plotting Megatron. |

Megatron discovers that Tarantulas had been repairing the Nemesis, the mightiest Decepticon warship ever, and decides to use it in a final and lethal attack against the Maximals. Meanwhile, Waspinator has a breakdown and abandons his Predacon nature while looking for a new base with Inferno and Quickstrike. Underwater, near the Nemesis, Depthcharge and Rampage clash for the last time. |

The Nemesis has proven to be powerful and dangerous under the now-insane Megatron, killing both Maximals and Predacons alike. Tigerhawk, Inferno and Quickstrike all perish in his wrath. Optimus fights Megatron alone, while the other Maximals aid him with the help of an old friend, Dinobot. In the end, the Maximals find an Autobot escape pod and head back to Cybertron with Megatron as their captive. Waspinator stays behind on Earth to be worshipped by the early humans. The Maximals win the Beast Wars. |
