Lisi Harrison

Lisi Harrison (born January 20, 1975 in Toronto, Canada[1]) is a Canadian author of young adult novels. In June 2004 she decided to write full time, and left MTV after creating shows and working on shows.[1]
Harrison wrote The Clique and its sequel Best Friends for Never while she was still working at MTV.[1]
The Clique series also includes: Revenge of the Wannabes, Invasion of the Boy Snatchers, The Pretty Committee Strikes Back, Dial L for Loser, It's Not Easy Being Mean, Sealed with a Diss, and Bratfest at Tiffany'sand the next book P.S. I loathe you. The main characters include Massie, Claire, Alicia, Dylan, and Kristen. Together, they form the Pretty Committee, the most popular clique at Octavian Country Day School. Her books are often compared to the Gossip Girl series, although Harrison's books have much less mature content. Her books' themes are also similar to those in the movie Mean Girls and are popular among girls from 10 & up, even though they are marketed as being for girls 12 & up. All of Harrison's books have been on the New York Times Bestseller lists.
In 2007, Harrison moved from New York City to Laguna Beach,[1] where she is currently working on the new series of Clique, The Clique Summer Collection. Harrison has also announced work on two new series. One called The Sunshine Girls and another called The Alphas.Lisi Harrison actually does not base her books on teenage life as she knows it. Instead, she takes her adult life experiences and changes it to teenage clique problems.
Lisi Harrison's novels have now inspired a whole summer book series. This summer, Harrison will release The Clique Summer Collection with each book focusing on a different member of the Pretty Committee. A new book will come out each month this summer. So, far the 1-3rd books like 'Massie' has been released in April, followed by 'Dylan' in May, and 'Alicia' in June. There will also be a movie coming out direct to DVD in the fall of 2008. Also the author announced a possible competition to find cam or derrick for the second clique movie.
Her latest book is "Dylan" which is a part of The Clique Summer Collection which was released May 1st. Her next book out in relation to The Clique Summer Collection will be 'Alicia' in June, followed by 'Kristen' in July, then finally 'Claire' in August. 'Claire' is the last book of The Clique Summer Collection.
The Clique Summer Collection fills in the events that occurred prior to the novel 'Bratfest at Tiffanys', and post events after the novel 'Sealed With A Diss'.
