And an all girls team went to states for the first time in history in 2006. The Football team won back-to-back Class C(less then B & A) state championships in 2005 finishing with a 11-1 record, and in 2006 finishing as one of three unbeaten teams in the state. (The others being 2006 Class A Champion Lawrence of Fairfield, and 2006 Class B Champion Mountain Valley of Rumford.) In the 2007 season, Lisbon finished 5-4, and failed to make the playoffs. LISBON WRESTLING WON 5 State Championships from 2001 to 2008. No seniors to graduate on this years state championship team! Lisbon also has the virtue of having not only as pick up Ultimate club, but a joint team the Gorgonites, with neighboring Lewiston High. Both ventures being founded by Kendrick Gores. Along with all of the "manly" sports LHS is privilaged to have two male cheerleaders on the compatition cheering team.
Long hours spent training all around.
Greyhound pride (and unfortunately, not too much intelligence) all around this sports oriented High school.
[edit] Those Who Mattered
Stephen King grew up in neighboring Durham and attended Lisbon High School.
Colton (The Hammer) Jackson and Brittany (10,000 B.C)Clark were among the more well known attendees of Lisbon High. They were made famous by the drug bust of 2006, when 20kg of heroin was found in their lockers. However, both students were later acquitted, as their lockers were both easily accessible to other students. This led to the administration immediately placing locks on all unlocked and unused lockers to prevent a repeat event.
