Lisa Unger

Lisa Unger (born 1970) is a best-selling contemporary American author of literary thrillers. Her novels have been published in more than twenty-five countries.[1] She was born in Hartford, Connecticut but grew up in the Netherlands, England and New Jersey. A graduate of the New School for Social Research, she spent many years living and working in New York City. In 2000, Unger left a career in publicity to pursue her dream of becoming a full-time author. She now lives in Florida with her husband and their daughter.[2]

Beautiful Lies was selected as an International Book of the Month, an honor bestowed upon only a few authors worldwide each year, with past recipients including Harlan Coben and Karin Slaughter.[3] It was also chosen as one of the "Best Books of 2006" by the editors of Amazon.com, a BookSense pick, and finalist for the International Thriller Writers "Best Novel" Award in 2007.[4][5][6]
Sliver of Truth, the sequel, was also a BookSense pick and a main selection for Literary Guild and Doubleday Book Club.[7]
Black Out is her first stand-alone novel and it will be released in May 2008.
