Lisa Shaw is an Urban and House music singer born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Lisa Shaw's music career expanded when she arrived in New York City from Toronto. Shaw received a friendly welcome to New York City by people in the underground electronica/house music communties. She debuted in 1995 with a single titled, "Makin' Love Makin' Music", written by DJ Smash. After it became a hit in the underground, she released many more singles and collaborated with several productions, a few collaborations with Shaw's husband, DJ Swingsett and most notable, producer/songwriter,Miguel Migs. Many of these such singles have appeared on many compilations. Shaw released her debut solo album, Cherry in 2005 on the Astralwerks label. Shaw appears as a featured singer on Miguel Migs's 2007 album, Those Things. She gained much fame when Kaba Modern used her single "grown apart" on the first season of America's Best Dance Crew in 2008.
