Lisa S. Klossner

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lisa S. Klossner aka Lisa Smith-Klossner (born 1964, Walsall, West Midlands, England) is a singer best known for her work with Hugh Hopper, formerly of Soft Machine. They have recorded two albums together - Different (1997) and Cryptids (2000).

Lisa Smith-Klossner was originally born "Lisa Smith", but acquired her second name after marrying J. Scott (aka "Scott") Klossner (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1407011/) of Darien, NY in 1982. The two met while Lisa was a visiting student at Alexander High School in neighboring Alexander, NY. Scott was an aspiring musician and highschool student. Although both were very interested in music (punk, goth, rockabilly) and performing, it is unlikely that they actually performed in public together. They spent their first summer together working for an art shop (Kaman's Art Shoppe) located in a theme park called Darien Lake. Scott worked as a photographer and Lisa as a cashier. Rumor has it that they married at the Justice of the Peace and then celebrated the event by going out for pizza. While they were married, they lived in Buffalo, NY, England and New York City. They later divorced after ~2 years of marriage.
