Lisa Feldman Barrett

Lisa Feldman Barrett, Ph.D., is professor in the department of Psychology at Boston College[1] in Boston, and an Associate in Research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Barrett is a social psychologist and researcher specializing in affective science and human emotion.[2][3][4] Her main research is on the structure of affect, having developed experience-sampling methods[5] and software to study emotional experience.

In 2007, Dr. Barrett received an NIH Director's Pioneer Award from the National Institutes of Health.[6] In 2006, she received a Career Trajectory Award from the Society for Experimental Social Psychology for her work in emotion.[7] She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science,[8] the American Psychological Association, and the Society for Personality and Social Psychology.

Dr. Barrett was born 1963 in Toronto, Canada.
