[edit] Notes
- The piano intro of Biaxident is very similar to the piano in About to Crash from the 2002 album Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
- A keyboard riff in 'Acid Rain' is very similar to the riff in Wait for Sleep on the Dream Theater album Images and Words.
- Part of Acid Rain is played on the Dream Theater album Live Scenes from New York.
- A riff also on Acid Rain (specifically at 4:15) is very similar to the song Race With Devil On Spanish Highway by Al Di Meola, of whom Petrucci is a fan.
- "When The Water Breaks" is so named because when the band was writing the central section, John Petrucci got word that his wife's water had broken. There is a "baby soundscape" to landmark the part of the piece being written when he got the news.
- John Petrucci has stated that the notes to the album that "Hourglass" was written and recorded in the wee hours with old strings.
