Lipovans was the collaboration of the week for the week starting on April 16, 2006.

Are Lippovans considered by the Orthodox Church to be schismatic, or heterodox, or perhaps both? (I suppose heterodox would entail schismatic, but not necessarily vice-versa.) 131.183.84.166 19:21 18 Jul 2003 (UTC)

We (Lippovans) are usually considered as schismatics by Russian Ortodox Church, but not by majority of other Ortodox churches in the world. --Shao 03:35, 16 September 2005 (UTC)

I'll add something about that. AKoan (talk) 12:48, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Why no changes?

The week is now half over and only two small changes have been made to this COTW. Why aren't the fifteen people who nominated it making improvements? It is bad form to vote for an article for COTW and then not do anything to improve the article. --EncycloPetey 02:28, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Well how I understood COTW voters give task to users involved in COTW and that they do most of the work. Am I right? Luka Jačov 10:02, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

"Lipovans" is not "old belivers" in Russian.--Nixer 11:48, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

It does not imply a translation, as far as I know--Asterion talk to me 15:12, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
"Lipovans (Lipoveni)" comes from "Filipovans (Filipoveti)". Filipp was a monk that initiated the sect. AKoan (talk) 12:48, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
