Liposomal doxorubicin

Liposomal doxorubicin is a chemotherapy ("antineoplastic" or "cytotoxic") anti-cancer drug. It is most commonly used to treat ovarian cancer and Aids-related Kaposi's sarcoma, but may also be used to treat advanced breast cancer [1]. It is the drug doxorubicin encapsulated in a closed lipid sphere (liposome). This medication is classified as an anthracycline antibiotic. [2]
