[edit] Rollback

Hello Lindsey8417, I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, you can be trusted to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck. Acalamari 18:23, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Oh, wow, thanks! I'll use it and not abuse it :D -02:34, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
You're welcome. :) I'm sure you'll use it well. Acalamari 03:16, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Blood

Is that real blood on your hands in your picture? --Alisyntalk 04:06, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

:D haha, no it's fake. I make fake blood for my mini horror films and for photoshoots for friends, so thats what it is. No real blood there. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 04:09, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sara Mednick Speedy Delete

I found significant press coverage of Sara Mednick, the nap-research woman, so I deleted the speedy tag. I think you'll agree. Regards.--Wageless (talk) 02:19, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Does it count toward Sara Mednick's notability that the above "Wageless" is the somewhat more notable author Nicholson Baker, and that he recently wrote what may already be a notable review of what is probably a notable book about editing Wikipedia, and that in said review, he mentions the Sara Mednick Wikipedia article among the articles he saved from Deletionists, all while working under the perhaps-soon-to-be-notable pseudonym Wageless? I mean, doesn't all that make Sara Mednick at least a wee bit more notable? No? Well, it never hurts to ask, I guess. Yakushima (talk) 12:40, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] GA review of Milla Jovovich

Hi, Lindsey, I jumped on another of your articles up for GAN, I hope that's all right. I'm truly impressed with your hard work on this one, and I'm looking forward to passing it. I left a list of comments and suggestions on the talk page, so again, just let me know when they've been taken care of and I'll give it my seal of approval. Have you considered taking this one to FAC at some point? With a little work it would be a great addition! María (habla conmigo) 17:06, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words and your willingness to review (it is quite a lengthy article after all). I'll get to the review comments as soon as I can today, and some during the week, but I suppose it depends on my homework load. I have thought about FAC; the article is the longest one I've re-written and I'm hoping to take it there. One day! -Lindsey8417 (talk) 22:28, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Coaching offer

Hello Lindsey8417, I noticed you do a lot of good work here, and seem to demonstrate good knowledge of policy. I think you'll make a good admin someday. Would you like me to set up an admin coaching page for you to brush up on a few relevant policies? Tell me what you think. Best wishes. Acalamari 18:09, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

The more I think about adminship, the more the idea grows on me. So, I think that would be really great and incredibly helpful. I'd love if you'd set up on. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 06:26, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
I've set up a page called User:Acalamari/Admin coaching/Lindsey8417, which you'll want to watchlist. :) The first 12 questions are there for you, and you may take your time to answer them. :) Acalamari 18:54, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
OK, great. I'll get to them when I have the time to sit down and write decent responses! -Lindsey8417 (talk) 06:14, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
That's great! Take it easy. Acalamari 18:51, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Elle Bishop GA review

I have put GA nominee Elle Bishop on hold and left some notes on the talkpage. Please address them within the enxt seven days. Thank you. – sgeureka t•c 10:47, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

I'll be going to bed in a few minutes, and I won't be at home tommorow. I haven't yet reread the article for your changes, but the reception section looks really nice. The only thing I'll let you know now instead of later is that I think my suggestion to rewrite the Appearances starting with "Her background is revealed like this blablabla" wasn't such a good idea in the end because that would turn the "Appearances" section (real-world chronology) into an "Character arc" section (fictional biographical chronology), which doesn't work (I think) as long as Heroes is still airing, and as long there are still clues missing. All the names and their relation to Elle still seem confusing (I haven't watched the show beyond the middle of the first season yet), but I only skimmed over the article, and I may be wrong. If you want to work on these two things until Monday, I'll be happy to review the article in depth for a second time. – sgeureka tc 00:49, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Congratulations. Your changes to the article exceeded my expectations. I have therefore promoted it to GA. – sgeureka tc 15:32, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] JENNIFER'S BODY Edit

Hi there,

I was wondering what the reasoning was for deleting the addition (Script Review link) I made to the JENNIFER's BODY article yesterday? I'll admit that I am new to this, but I have seen other film articles on Wikipedia with links to script reveiws on film sites.

Thanks for any clarifications.

[edit] AfD nomination of Carlos Olivera

An editor has nominated Carlos Olivera, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Carlos Olivera and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:59, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hillshaveeyes1.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Hillshaveeyes1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:25, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Where have you been?

I missed you! Hey, have you ever heard of Ichi the Killer? Tech43 (talk) 04:56, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I don't have a personal computer at the current moment, so I get online when I can at friend's houses and at school. But yes, I have heard of Ichi the Killer. I love that film and I'm a fan of the director Takashi Miike. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 00:23, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:2006 the hills have eyes 015.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:2006 the hills have eyes 015.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

The following images also have this problem:

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Mortuarydan.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mortuarydan.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Project FMF (talk) 23:23, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
