[edit] Why do you remove my website (World airport Database)

Thanks for your comment on my talk page. I see that you are new here, so I would suggest that review the Wikipedia External link policy at WP:EL#Links_normally_to_be_avoided. The link you posted violates this policy because it is a "Link mainly intended to promote a website."

Also because that website belongs to you you are in a conflict of interest in posting it. Please have a look at WP:COI. The key issue is:

[edit] Self-promotion

Conflict of interest often presents itself in the form of self-promotion, including advertising links, personal website links, personal or semi-personal photos, or other material that appears to promote the private or commercial interests of the editor, or their associates.

Examples of these types of material include:

1. Links that appear to promote products by pointing to obscure or not particularly relevant commercial sites (commercial links).

In cases of Conflict of Interest the correct procedure is to make a posting on the page's talk page identifying that you would like to post an external link for a website that you own and then ask the other editors on the page to come to a consensus on whether it should be included or not. - Ahunt (talk) 23:41, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

In re-reading your original comment - you are quite right - the linkspam to airnav should have been deleted too. It is gone now! Thanks for pointing it out! - Ahunt (talk) 02:24, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
