[edit] Primary Page

I don't see why this page is "Linwood" and not "Linwood, Scotland". All the other Linwood pages are disambiguated, and this one does not seem to be more notable. Linwood is also a common first name, and the number of "Linwood" pages exceeds the number listed on the disambiguation page by a large number (enter "linwood" in the search box and hit "Search"). If there are no objections, I will move this page to Linwood, Scotland, and make Linwood a disambiguation page featuring all articles with "Linwood" in the title, whether place names or not. [edit] Education

"Education needs are met by three primary schools, two of which are non-denominational and one Catholic, and by three high schools; one Catholic High School, a Grammar school, and a Private school. All are within a relatively small travelling distance. The University of Paisley and University of Glasgow are also within travelling distance, as well as many colleges."

Our lady of peace is one of the primary schools, can't remember the name of the other. High schools, there are St Brendans and Linwood High that I know of.

UPDATE on SCHOOLS. There has been a lot of changes in Linwood schools.

St Andrews primary was renamed Our Lady of Peace. Craigends Primary was renamed Woodlands. Mossedge Primary pupils moved to Woodlands. Clippens special needs school near Pentland ave was damaged by fire and the former Mossedge primary is now known as Clippens School. The orginal site of the Clippens School is now a housing estate.

2006 St. Benedicts was a newly built secondary school to take an amalgimation of 3 R.C high schools including St Brendans. Linwood High pupils were sent to the former St. Brendans whilst the original Linwood High is rebuilt. Current status in jan 2007 is original Linwood High has been demolished.
