Talk:Linux Quake port

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"In 24 hours, Quake was running on Linux." Does a statement like the aforementioned one, refelect a neutral point-of-view?

If its true and can be backed up then sure, it could really do with a cite though. Plugwash 08:25, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
It's true. I am that "Greg Alexander" guy. I believe this article was mostly contributed by a friend of mine, who corresponded closely with me during the 24 hour period in question. Does that make it hearsay or something? The only sources I know to cite would be IRC logs for EFnet#quakeed (which has the beginnings of the confrontation between myself and David Taylor), and the README file that was distributed with the original quake which credits me for "initial work". I think I was mentioned in an article in Computer Gamer or something, but fat chance of finding that. The only edit I will resist is any attempt to refer to me as plural. [edit] Merge into Quake article

This article should be merged into the regular Quake article. --Edwin Herdman 08:32, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
