As a new user I do not yet have the power to make this change myself. I believe it would be considered a simple name change and not a major move. DWR 03:09, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- I totally agree with you on the name change. What I don't agree with is you saying you don't have the power to do the renaming ;). Just move it to the new title. This will leave a redirect under the old title, but that is very desirable. After that, you should check which pages link to the old title, and change it to the new one. I'd do this myself, but I don't have the time right now. If you don't want to, I will do it later this week. -- grm_wnr Esc 21:50, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)

- When I tried using the "Move" button the other day I got a warning message that said I had not been a registered user long enough to perform that function. Since I was sucessful today I guess I have now been registered long enough. I also went back through and fixed the links.DWR 03:43, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Is my writeup worthy of a link?
I wrote up a Linear Editing Primer on my website and was wondering if someone thought it was worthy of a link. If so, feel free to add it (or tell me so). I don't think I should be the one making the decision, since I wrote it and it is my site. Thanks. --tonsofpcs (Talk) 05:20, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Article subject
This article seems to be more about the history of video tape editing than of linear editing itself. Maybe the current content could become a section or partially spun off to a new page while the bulk of the article could be restructured to explain the hows and whys of linear editing in a more current form, or a form unrelated to history (such as an overview of techniques that doesn't imply any technical advantages or disadvantages of different systems). --tonsofpcs (Talk) 20:24, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
