[edit] Bravery Award

The article mentions Thompson was awarded for his bravery in relation to the Faraday kidnapping. However the reference given is for the Faraday School kidnapping page on wikipedia which only mentions the teacher being awarded for bravery. Thompson was awarded the Order of St Michael and St George but I think that was for his service to government. Does anyone know of a source that states Thompson recived an award specficially for his bravery? (If he didn't it would seem a shame - its a wonderful story of selflessness from a politician).
