[edit] Oliveros

What kind of partner isn't she supposed to be? Hyacinth 06:57, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

+++++ I am the one who has removed this statement before. My response to your question:

I believe you created the link for the word "partner", correct? The first few lines of said entry: "A domestic partnership is a legal or personal relationship between individuals who live together and share a common domestic life but are not joined in a traditional marriage, a common-law marriage, or a civil union"

Assuming this is what you meant, I will tell you once and for all your statement about Linda Montano and Pauline Oliveros being "partners" is false. Pauline has a wife/partner/significant other/whatever you want to call it - her name is Ione. They have been together for a long time. They have been married in Canada. Ione has a song named after her on the self-titled Deep Listening Band album. I know them both very well and am 110% certain of this. Sheesh.

Feel free to check any facts I've stated and I'll leave it up to you or another to remove this mis-information - I'm tired of removing this line only to see it reappear. I don't mean to come across as argumentative, but I do feel it is important to get the facts straight here. +++++
