[edit] Political Career in Australia:

Member of the Australian labour Party since 1981. He was a member of COMITES (Committee of Italians resident abroad - Comitato Italiani residenti all'estero) from 1987 to 1997. He is the co-founder with Joe Caputo of Laburisti Italiani in Australia (associated with both the Australian Labor Party and the Partito Socialista Italiano - Italian Socialist Party). From 1986 he has been working in the field of Occupational Health and Safety. He has founded an Association for Italian emigrant workers who have sustained injures in the workplace (Associazione Lavoratori Infortunati Italiani).

[edit] Italian Elections April 2008:

Lino Magnano is running for the Italian Parliament (Senato - Senate) in the coming April 2008 elections as a candidate of the Partito Socialista Italiano for the overseas electorate covering Africa, Asia and Oceania. His fellow candidate for the Chamber of Deputies (Camera dei Deputati) is Joe Caputo.[1]
