• Princess Sofia, elder sister of Constantine II, relinquished her rights to the throne of Greece in 1962 when she married the then Infante Juan Carlos of Spain, so neither she nor her descendants appear in the line of succession.
• It is generally thought that the Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh(born as a member of Greek royal family) renounced his rights to the Greek throne, before his marriage to Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. However, some people deny it because there isn't any documentary proof.[1]
• Prince Michael of Greece and Denmark renounced his rights to the throne upon his morganatic marriage to Marina Karella.
