Line C (Prague Metro)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Line C (Czech: Linka C) is a line on the Prague Metro. Construction was started in 1966 on an underground rapid tram line. One year later, the project was changed to a metro line. The first segment of the system was opened on May 9, 1974. The line continued to be expanded, mostly during the early 1980s, and has recently been extended once again. The last extension connecting the city center to the large housing blocks of Prosek to the north-east (Střížkov, Prosek and Letňany stations) opened in 2008.
