[edit] Personal life
Sloane was born Lindsay Sloane Leikin in Long Island, New York of Jewish heritage.[1] She had a nose job when she was younger.[1] In 2004, Sloane married Dar Rollins, an agent for International Creative Management. Sloane is friends with actresses Sarah Michelle Gellar and Melissa Joan Hart. Sloane was Gellar's maid of honor at her wedding to Freddie Prinze, Jr. in 2002.
Sloane feels she was cast as the "quirky, awkward girl" or "the best friend of the cute girl" in many of her roles.[1]
Sloane made a rule for herself that she would not date other actors, based on her previous relationship with actor Nate Richert. She mentioned that it was difficult to watch your boyfriend "make-out" with another actress and agreed with radio interviewer Howard Stern when he said that there was "too much temptation in their lives and they can end up straying". She also mentioned that her boyfriend at the time had difficulty watching her kissing male actors.[1]
