Lindsay Johnson

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lindsay Johnson (born May 8, 1980) is a footballer, currently playing for Everton Ladies.

Lindsay's last job was a teacher of PE at The King's Academy.

Lindsay is a versatile player who impressed the England manager with her solid defensive performances in the Algarve Cup in March 2005.

After coming through the U21 ranks she is now challenging for a place in the England back line.

Her versatility means she can play across the back four and her strength at the heart of the Everton defence saw her singled out as their Player of the Match in last season’s narrow 1-0 FA Women’s Cup Final defeat to Charlton Athletic.

More recently Lindsay stepped in for Faye White, when the England captain was injured, and ensured The Three Lions kept a clean sheet in the record 13-0 away win against Hungary, in October.
