Lindfield railway station is part of the CityRail, Sydney network, located on the North Shore line in the suburb of Lindfield. The station has a separate terminating platform.
The station is served by four trains per hour with additional trains during weekday peak hours. In the latest timetable, two additional trains per hour terminate at this station for most of the day and evening.

While ramps connect the overhead concourse with the streets on either side, stairs connect the concourse with the platforms, so that this station does not have Easy Access for wheelchairs. Easy access lifts are proposed in the next year.

Platform 1:
- North Shore Line - all stations and limited stops services, and peak hour intercity services to Central; then to Blacktown, Penrith, Emu Plains, Riverstone, or Richmond via the Western Line; or to Eastwood or Hornsby via the Northern Line.
Platform 2:
- North Shore Line - all stations and limited stops services to Central; then to Blacktown, Penrith, Emu Plains, Riverstone, or Richmond via the Western Line; or to Eastwood or Hornsby via the Northern Line.
Platform 3
- North Shore Line - all stations services to Gordon, Hornsby and Berowra; peak hour intercity services to Gosford and Wyong.
