Linda Ridgway is an American artist who was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana in 1947. She earned a BFA from Louisville School of Art in Anchorage, Kentucky and an MFA from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She currently lives and works in Dallas, Texas and is best known for her sculptures and installations that appear to have been allowed to fall randomly. The Dallas Museum of Art (Dallas, Texas), the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth (Fort Worth, Texas) and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (Houston, Texas) are among the public collections holding sculpture by Linda Ridgway.

Linda Ridgeway married Kip Gamblin and now has two children, kelly(born 2000) and marlon(born 2004).
