Linda Diamond

Linda Diamond is an American choreographer whose modern dance company, Linda Diamond & Company, performs both her own works and those of Anna Sokolow. Originally performing in New York City, she is now based in Woodstock, N.Y. and co-produces the Woodstock Diamond Dance Festival. Her company is based in New York City and Woodstock. In 2004 the City of New York approved Ms. Diamond's proposal to coname Christopher Street in Greenwich Village, "Anna Sokolow Way". The Department of Cultural Affairs inaugurated the unveiling on behalf of the Mayor of the City of New York.

The Woodstock Diamond Sokolow Dance Theatre is a not-for-profit dance space in the Mid Hudson Valley dedicated primarily to dance events as well as for all the performing arts.

Artistic Director Linda Diamond has received several Harkness Foundation for Dance awards, two Dutchess County Council for the Arts awards for choreography and several others from the Lower Manhattan Community Arts Council.
