Linda Cahn

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linda Cahn is an expert on the Pharmacy Benefit Management industry (PBM).

In 1997, Ms. Cahn initiated the first class action lawsuits in the nation against two of the largest PBMs – Merck-Medco Managed Care, L.L.C. and PCS Health Systems, Inc. Since that date, she has continuously represented clients in litigation against PBMs.

Ms. Cahn is also the founder and President of Pharmacy Benefit Consultants, a nation-wide consulting company that assists companies and unions in evaluating their existing PBM contracts, negotiating entirely new PBM contracts, and dramatically decreasing their costs through PBM RFPs (Requests for Proposal) and PBM RFIs (Requests for Information).

Linda Cahn has also worked with representatives on Capitol Hill, the GAO, the Labor Department, and federal and state prosecutors to educate them about prescription drug coverage issues and to generate investigations of the PBM industry. She also advises investment firms and hedge funds about PBMs and serves as an expert panelist for S&P’s Vista advisory service.

Ms. Cahn is a graduate of Princeton University and Hofstra Law School - both with honors - and a member of the N.Y. and N.J. Bars.
