Lincoln Square Institute

The Lincoln Square Institute was founded in 2006 by a group of public policy scholars. It is a non-profit public policy research institute headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The institute and the neighborhood square where it resides is named after Abraham Lincoln.

The Lincoln Square Institute seeks to broaden the public policy debate to allow consideration of the traditional American principles of respect for government, liberty, and peace. The institute strives to achieve greater public involvement in questions of public policy and the role of government.

The Lincoln Square Institute publishes the online "Campaign Power Rating 2008." The report has been featured on numerous Sunday morning talk programs and updates its online rating of 2008 presidential candidates, weekly.

In order to maintain its independence, the institute accepts no government funding, instead it receives 100 percent of its funding from individuals.
