Lincoln Park/West Bergen is a neighborhood in Jersey City south of Montgomery Street and north of Communipaw Avenue, from Bergen Avenue on the east to West Side Avenue on the west. These neighborhoods are dominated by detached single-family houses with some of the best preserved Victorian and early 20th Century mansions in the city. Lincoln Park, on the Hackensack River, is one of the largest parks in the area. It is a Hudson County park which includes recreational facilities (tennis, track, athletic fields, golf range, biking, running) and picnicking areas. Pedestrian overpasses are being constructed to provide safe access to pedestrians wishing to cross Truck 1-9 from the east and west sections of the park.
