Lincoln Manor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lincoln Manor is a four story Public Housing building named for former president Abraham Lincoln. It located in south Nashville, Tennessee and is considered by many a public nuisance due to an unusually high amount of reported criminal activity.
Locally, it serves as a reminder of a poor public housing strategy and has been likened in impact to long gone Jim Crow laws and statutes.
On July 19, 2007 this building claimed local notoriety when nine year old Jeremy Wiggins had his Kool-Aid stand robbed three times in the course of one day, each time by a different party. During the third robbery he was chased down the street by a teen wearing a stocking over his face and wielding a leather belt.1
