Lincoln Heights is an American drama television series about a street cop, whose family moves back to his old neighborhood of Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles, California to start a new life, and help out his old neighborhood. It is a dangerous place to raise a family. Through the many trials the family goes through, they soon learn that settling in is not as easy as it seems. While Eddie Sutton, the father, struggles to cope with every day life as a street cop, the kids try to fit in at their new schools and with their new neighbors.

The show premiered January 8, 2007 on the ABC Family network with 13 episodes ordered for the first season. It was approved for a second season, which premiered September 4, 2007.[1] Vanessa Hudgens' song, Say OK had been used in a commercial to promote the second season.

The show's theme song was written and performed by legendary bassist Stanley Clarke and singer-songwriter Blaire Reinhard. The lyrics are: "The city never sleeps, you've gotta live to your own beat, so, easy come and easy go, what is home?".

Lincoln Heights will return for a third season of 10-episodes aring this fall. [2]

Eddie,his wife Jen, his two daughters Cassie and Lizzie,and his son Taylor(Tay) move to Lincoln Heights. The neighborhood where Eddie grew up, and where, in his early teens, he witnessed his mother gunned down in a drive-by shooting. The family has trouble fitting in. While Eddie tries to balance the problems ,safety,and happiness of his family with trying to change the neighborhood,Cassie ends up falling in love with Charles.Charles is a boy who is new to Lincoln Heights as well. Lizzie is having problems with her new basketball team,Tay is having trouble facing the bullies at school who steal his lunch money,and Jen is also having problems with her new boss at the hospital. At the end of the day the family is getting better and stronger than ever before.
